Im currently 8 weeks out. I was wondering if baked chicken wings ( skin on) would be a wise food choice. I've had baked thigh and leg. Skinless of course. Just wondering.

I haven't tried chicken wings yet.  I'm afraid of the fat content.  I'm 7 months out.

Don't be afraid of fat. We need healthy fats to keep us moving. ;)

Plus, fat is delicious, and keeps our coats nice and shiny.

I too often see this rationale used to justify excess.  Yes, some fats are necessary, but every single one of us gets enough without even trying.

I went to a dinner at week 7 where baked skin on chicken was served. I was able to eat a little bit of the chicken, but I found it to be really dry. There were mashed potatoes served with it, which I had to eat a couple bites of to get the chicken down. I would not have chosen to eat the baked chicken or mashed potatoes otherwise. It was kind of awkward when the server took away my plate with only a couple of bites missing. I had pulled chicken with bbq sauce this weekend, and that went down much easier.

I would have taken it home and made Chicken salad out of it.

If you have had chicken you most likely would be ok. I would pull the skin off though. Watch the sauce. Make sure it doesn't have sugar in it.

I've eaten baked chicken wings. I see nothing wrong with them.

I've had baked chicken wings, both with herbal seasonings or BBQ, and it's funny because I can eat exactly 1.5 wings!  Sure makes a package go a long way!  I don't stress about skinning the wings as there isn't that much actual food on each wing.
