Best NSV in the world (atleast to me)

I have had horses/ponies in my life since I was born.  Even at my highest weight I rode, but a few years ago my gelding who was a big boy had to be put down due to a freak accident.  So I was left with my Saddlebred and Haflinger.   My Haffie drives more than rides and my Saddlebred well they are just a narrow dainty horse and at 280 there was no way I would get on her back.

So fast forward to several months revision post-op and down almost 80lbs I am finally back in the saddle.  There is nothing better on this plant then the smell of horse and the wind blowing through our hair.  I have ridden the last couple of days and boy do I feel like a kid again.

Thank you.  Horses are one of those things that I just never out grew.  I will always have them in my life.

That is awesome. I am sure your horse is happy also. It must feel like such a freedom to be able to ride again.

Scarlett is such a great mare and even though she hadn't been ridden for a few years she was perfect.  One of the best horses I have owned.

They are beautiful animals. There is a farm near me that has horse like the ones in the Budweiser commercials. I just sit in my jeep and watch them.

Oh Clydesdales they are one of the gentlest horses around for their size.  You should stop in and ask if you could pet them.  Then ask if they need any help grooming them.  You would be surprised how many farms would love to an extra person around to help brush them.

Happy for you and your horses, too.  My first day riding a bicycle makes me think I know the "high on life" feeling you had.  (as a kid, I had a horse who insisted on a weight limit--she would lay down in the dirt until the saddle was empty)
