Not a stricture but a post up ulcer. They say it is as common as a stricture is. It gets irritated and swollen and things don't pass just like you have a stricture.

That stuck feeling and vomiting are the same symptoms as a stricture. Time to let it heal and get back on with my journey!

So thankful they figured it out. I don't have that horrid feeling as much now and hoping it goes away/heals quickly!!

How was the ulcer discovered? Did they do a CAT scan?

They did an EGD (upper GI) because they thought it was a stricture. I still have the "stuck" feeling though but until it heals a bit and the medication kicks in it is going to feel that way.

Thanks, I am taking a muscle relaxer and Zantac and it is working for me, but I still wonder if there is an ulcer. Did you go to a hospital and have anesthesia for the EGD?
