What do you say?

I've lost 100 lbs since my RNY on March 2015. I've been getting a lot of compliments from people telling me I look great and I thank them. Then theres others that tell me, YOU've lost a ton of weight!! Which to me isn't flattering but I know (or think) they mean well. What do you say in those situations? How much is a ton of weight anyway?? :D
LOL....a ton is 2000 lbs....you haven't lost THAT much weight....
I do think they mean well though. Sometimes I say "I have a ton of weight to lose".
Most people never know what to say or how to say it when commenting on other people's weight, which it why I NEVER comment on someone else's weight unless they bring it up.

Complement that is really not....some of my lines are
"Excuse me? it you meant that as a compliment- it is not...."
or.."a ton? hardly.. you know a ton is over 2,000 lbs , right?" (usually leaves them speechless...as I walk away..
Or look at them with a confused face and say " thank you? you meant that as a compliment, right?"
and for people who I know are mean and are making fan of me...I can turn that around on them.:
"a ton? hardly... BTW - how many lbs did you lose?" then depends on their answer - either ask them "only xxx?" or any other mean response...
BTW: next weekend I am going to a social gathering - and I do expect I would need some of my nice "responses" and some sarcastic, or even mean...like "I see you found some of them? ..""

I've lost 100 also- starting to get a lot of comments.
I mostly just say thanks and that I feel great. Sometimes I say I have 40 left and then I get comments about where is it going to come from?
Evert once in a while people ask me how I did it. If I'm close to them I tell the truth, otherwise I say healthy eating and exercise.
The majority of the people who say that do mean well and are giving you a compliment. My response when I hear that is to just say thank you or sometimes I'll say "thank you, I have a ways to go yet". I also have people tell me that they want to say "you look great, but that would imply you didn't look great before"... I just smile and say thank you, because I know it is true. I didn't look great before, outside of my "pretty face" or "beautiful hair".... I try to always assume people are being nice so I respond in kind.

I say, "Thank you very much. I've been working hard at it. I feel really great." If they get too judgy sounding about weight and looks then I really get specific about things by saying, "I loved the way I looked before but now I am healthier and my heart is doing great. I miss my bust and bum but I suppose living longer will make up for the loss." That usually confuses them sufficiently to let me walk away.
