I had complications with my surgery and I am glad I had someone at home with me.  I was discharged the day after my surgery and felt pretty good going home.  Later that night it turned bad and my husband had to take me to the ER.  As a precaution I had either my mom/husband stay home with me for 3 days after my second discharge as I was still feeling not the greatest.  

I would at least have someone stay with you the day you get home and then take it day by day how you feel.
