I watch my carbs and sugar closely to stay inthe range i want. I again took a closer look and this time a my vitamins. ( calcium, d3, multi vitamin and iron chewables)

WOW. With the bariatric vitamins I take that Dr office told me to get, I have been taking 10 grams a day of sugar/carbs that I was not tracking.

I am going to get away from the chewables. . . .i think this has some impact on my weight loss slowingdown to a creep.

Its true there are hidden calories in everything...

Vitamins, Splenda, condiments, coffee creamer, milk, tick tacks, gum... on and on and on

That is why tracking on something like MFP (MyFitnessPal) is so important.

I have an older Aunt who is very MO and she constantly will say things like "But I only had a Cesar Salad for lunch, why can't I lose weight!" she seems to forget that the salad dressing, the croutons, the bacon bits are all calories, she just see's lettuce and thinks its "low calorie".

I did WW (Weigh****chers) years ago, multiple times I might add and one of the Leaders said "Make sure you count your BLTs" and I said what is a BLT = Bites, Licks & Tastes. It all adds up.  Just because a person only has a "bite" of your spouses's cake or sandwich and didn't eat the whole thing does not mean it doesn't count!

A bottle of Gatorade Zero has 30 calories and a bottle of Vitamin Water has 120, most people would not even count that.

Good for you for recognizing it now and getting on the right track!

Best of luck!!

ETA: I now use the PatchMD Vitamin Patches, calorie free!! yahoo

Can you please advise which ones you use that are for Bariatric needs?

I do not see specific ones listed that way.

I have:

  1. Multivitamin Plus
  2. Vitamin D3/Calcium Patch
  3. Iron Plus

And I ordered on my next order all the above PLUS the B12 Energy Plus.

Below is a picture of the 3 I take daily right now and I am finishing a bottle of sublingual B12 pills that I got a Walmart.
