Dense Proteins

These past four post-op years, I have tried, retried, and changed food choices along the way.  It continues to be a learning process.  For example, Walmart's Great Value Whole Milk (key word, whole milk) Greek plain yogurt is a new favorite finding it to be a superior dense yogurt choice.  Local, free-range chicken eggs also seem more dense.  But nothing compares to the new discovery found with dense protein in Scottish Highland grass fed beef.  We recently butchered one of our steers; this breed of cattle is known for having higher protein content than other breeds.  I have yet to be able to finish a quarter-pound patty which makes the 185 packages of freshly ground burger in our freezer looking like a lifetime meat supply.  Unless it's in my head, Scottish Highland grass fed ground beef seems like an optimal dense protein choice to seek out for anyone looking to stock their freezer

(edited to add:  this is not a promotion, sales pitch or anything of the like but I do wish I owned original stock in the Walmart franchise).

Good to know, I have a friend who raises this breed.

I do love whole milk yogurt. It does have a way of staying with you. I mix homemade applesauce in it.
