What's on your Menu today (Wednesday) RNYers?
Good Morning Everyone!
I am sad about the election. If Canada wasn't so darned cold....
QOTD: My worst transgression was a while back when I was coming out of Walmart and there were some women outside selling cheesecakes for $10 each to benefit Breast Cancer research and I impulsively bought one. As I walked to my car with it, I was thinking, "What did I do that for?" I kept telling myself it was for a good cause. I did end up eating it, but I only ate one small slice a day and logged it in on MyFitnessPal. Before WLS I probably would've eaten the whole cheesecake in one day!
B: Crepe w/ peaches, cream cheese, cool whip
L: Lettuce, spinach, chicken, cheese, cranberries & nuts, low cal dressing
D: Chili cheese dog
S: Light n Fit Greek yogurt
S: Watermelon
Exercise: Walking the dogs around the subdivision
Have a great day everyone!

Hi Daizymom,
I live in the middle of Nebraska. It can get really cold in the Winter and really hot in the Summer and is nice during the Spring and Fall. You live in Canada? Do you like it? I probably wouldn't really move. I love my house and yard, have great neighbors, and am pretty settled here. Just not very happy with our new president! LOL!

I can bet that our weather is probably better than yours! I'm in Southern Ontario, and close to Lake Ontario so our winters aren't bad. It definitely varies. I can't remember the last time we had snow on the ground for the whole winter. I love Canada, but it's my home.

Losing the regain! I got this!
Not that cracked me up... I don't think the inuit people live in igloos anymore, and the ice and snow almost all year long is way up north- like close to the North Pole. They also have the land of the midnight sun - which I do hope to see sometime, but other than that I have no desire to visit the far north.

Hi Daisy and Menu Crew!
I had to cut my work walk short this morning because it started to rain! I still got a good walk in though, thank goodness!
QOTD: I'm too early out to answer this question well. I can say for now that I do buy for my husband and son, so there are all sorts of things in my grocery cart that I won't eat. My husband is a junk food eater and my son follows in our footsteps. I am of course changing my ways. Right now its easy, and i am not looking forward to later when it wont be.

Morning everyone...
Stunner of a night, and up too late, then not sleeping well while I did sleep! Gonna be a long day.
QOTD: So, I was thinking about this as I was reading everyone's responses so far. I'm almost 6 months out. I can see changes in how much food my pouch tolerates, and of course all of you know I've had a few brain wars while my post-op WLS friend was at our house and I watched him eat wayyyy too much food. But I think what stands out for me the most is this. I've transferred my eating habits to the rest of the family. I buy them 'treats', bring them home, display them, and inside I get all happy about the food. Now, I kind of push the eat it now (so I can't), and I don't buy/make a lot of things, but it's like my fat endorphins are getting a high on watching them all eat crap that I won't eat, shouldn't eat, and isn't good for any of us! Strange...
