2 Questions, Patches & Potty

I have a couple of questions that I'm wondering if I'm alone on or if others have these issues.

First, I seem to have a hard time keeping my Vitamin D/Calcium patch on, it seems to come off easily, however,  my multi vitamin stays on really well. I don't know if it's an issue with that particular patch or if it's just me. Anyone else with issues?

Secondly.... I have no issues with the constipation department. I take mirolax when I've missed a day so I'm fine there. My issue is that every few weeks I have a very "active" day in the bathroom and can't even believe whats coming out of me. It makes me weak dizzy and tired so I drink extra, but is that something that happens to anyone else? Or is my body just weird? It seems to happen after I've had a stall and my body decides it wants to lose weight again but being a teacher, it makes it very difficult at work! Any thoughts or suggestions? Anyone else like me?

Do you log your food?  What are you eating on the days that you have "bathroom activity"?  Anything consistent on those days that are different from your normal days?

Can't comment on patches, as I don't use them.

Good luck

I track on MFP everyday but also eat nearly the same thing everyday so I see nothing notable there. I'm probably just weird. Thanks!

You might have just gotten a weak set of patches.

I've never heard of this particular bowel issue. I agree with the recommendation to log closely, and see if you can see a pattern.

I have the same bathroom issue.  Every now and then, usually right before I drop some weight, I have a very "active" day.  Have to get to the bathroom as soon as I feel it... no waiting allowed.  I agree it makes for a difficult day.  Only lasts for a couple of hours, but boy.  I sure hope I am not on a road trip when it happens.

I ordered the D/Calcium patch, hopefully will not have any issues.  I am very excited about using them - I just cannot get the hang of calcium and iron.

It's good to know I'm not the only one! I actually had to leave work early today cause I had to go when I had to go! It has calmed down since but.... holy cow! Hopefully I'll enjoy what I see on the scale tomorrow.

I have used the patches for a few months now... I did have a pack of the Iron ones that didn't stick as well as the others (I do Multi/Calcium/Iron), but the next pack was fine. I think as long as they are on for like 6-8 hours it's OK. Try putting it somewhere that doesn't move much. I put mine on my shoulder blade, and that helps too.

I had my gallbladder out 15 years ago... I have 'bathroom' days, and have had, since then... I don't notice a big difference since surgery in that department - but I am an avid user of Miralax, so who knows. LOL

yes - my body does a "core dump" every once in awhile.  I don't know what - if anything - causes it.  But I love getting on the scale afterward!!
