Your PTH is high, and that's one number you want low. A high value for a WLSer likely means you are not getting enough oral calcium, and your body is leaching it from your bones to get what it needs.

Obviously, you don't want continued bone loss.

That is bad.. I like my good strong bones! I was worried about calcium. For what ever reason when I have struggled to get vits in it seems to be the calcium 'set' I miss. The last few weeks (so not likely going to affect this) I have made a concerted effort to get my vits in.

I recommend that you make a spreadsheet and track your numbers carefully. Things change quickly post-op and you need to know how your body handles the supplements you take as well as the consequencesresulting from illness, additional surgery etc.

You must be your own best advocate. From our experience, lots of problems associated with vitamin deficiency can be avoided by staying on top of the numbers and tracking trends.

I will tell you that my spreadsheets have helped me SO much with making adjustments. The further out you get the more tweaking you need to do. And I bring mine to my Doc and she appreciates having it to make quick and easy comparions.

II also made other sheets tracking food and water and pain levels when I had and internal hernia that no one could find. I got my diagnosis based on patterns of pain, location etc that my surgeon saw in my spreadsheet. So yeah. I can't recommend doing that enough. You just never know.

Had my first blood work done since surgery 3 months ago. Things looking pretty good. I was coming off a wicked cold so the lymphocytes were a bit raised. Not sure why my Vit a is low or my B12 is high though. And YAY my vit D is in the normal range. Before surgery it was low almost undetectable.

no, I wanted to capture this thread for clarity later,if/when you get your panties in a wad and decide to block/delete, etc this thread so those coming along later will have the full thread to follow.

I don't see good things happening with this thread. I fully expect you to post months/years from now with irreversible/nearly irreversible neurological problems, from the way this thread is going...

I have no idea what thread you have been reading...

I have never deleted a thread in my life in any forum I have been on no matter how contentious it got. However I have been thrilled with the advice in this post. It has been most helpful. Particularly the idea of keeping a spreadsheet. I do indeed love spreadsheets! And staying on top/in control of my health tracking vs relying on busy doctors.

The only bad thing in this thread was trying to post all my information and having it keep getting cut off.

If you have some concerns not mentioned here about what these numbers could mean you could just say it vs being passive aggressive.

several ppl have already told you what they thought theses numbers mean and I agree with them. You look tone headed for trouble but you just kee insisting that everything is fine. Why bother posting them then?
