Muscle relaxant - cyclobenzaprine
I injured my SI joint a couple weeks ago and my doctor prescribed the muscle relaxant cyclobenzaprine. When I picked it up at the pharmacy they said if I felt hungover in the morning to take it earlier in the evening. I took it right before bed at 10/11pm and by 3am it had worn off. I mentioned this to a different pharmacist and she said she felt very groggy in the morning after taking it as it is a strong med. We concluded that either my absorption is different because of WLS or I metabolize it differently (less likely). Just wondering if anyone else has had any success with different muscle relaxants...? I would definitely like to start sleeping past 3am.

I hate muscle relaxants. They relax everything for me - specially my gut - that is already slow...With muscles relaxers - gets really bad..
I had an accident that probably injured my SI joint.
So far I had 2 SI joints steroids injection..And the second one really made a huge difference. During the first one they had a problem getting the needle deep enough into the joint.
I get chiropractor adjustments 2 times a week.
Plus...To stabilize my SI joint someone suggested SI joint belt. I use that app 12-16 hours every day..Imo - it made a huge difference. Specially when I walk.

I bought this - and I like it, bu****ch for "no returns allowed" ...I bought 2, the more pricy one and this one. I liked this one better- so the "no returns" did not bother me..I returned the other one. It was "too narrow for me".
I have to remember to sit straight, not cross my legs, and for me - no high heels...
Most of the night I have to sleep on my back - with my knees supported by a pillow...
Initially - sleeping on my side - even for an hour caused really bad pain. Now - I can sleep 2-3 hours ...
I was told that SI joints inflammation can take 90+ days to heal... I did not want to believe in that... But yes...It took me over 90 days to feel better..Still not 100% but much better.
Calcium and magnesium are natural muscle relaxers...

I was told by the doctor to not take that after my surgery. I was taking it twice daily for a long time. I asked why and was told ulcer risk. Not sure if that's true, but it was the only pill I was told not to use in addition any nsaids. The word never was used several times.
