I was in love with Lurlene McDaniel books as a 10-13 year old. There was a ton of them but they all were about kids who were dealing with chronic or terminal illness. I think being diagnosed diabetic made them easy to relate to. I also have always been a sucker for a good tragedy, and some of them were pretty terrible! I also loved Summer Sisters by Judy Blume. It was definitely written for later teens, but my mother saw Judy Blume and bought it for me and well, I learned a lot from that book!
T-1 wee****il we go to Ottawa, ON for a getaway without the kiddos. I'm really looking forward to it!
It's been one of those "those mornings". Kids and myself running behind. I almost walked out the door without my water, vitamins or my work out clothes. Luckily I caught myself and rushed around to get them. I had to drop kid #2 and her birthday brownies at school this morning. And I have a nagging headache that mass amounts of water isn't touching.
Going to lunch today with some co-workers, so I'm not sure what I'll have yet. But, it will be protein forward.

Hope your day gets better!
Smoked Salmon with Laughing Cow sounds yummy! I'm stealing that!
It's a staple food for me now! Like a bagel with lox, minus the bagel (and capers I guess!). I eat it 3+ times per week lately. Smoked salmon is one of those things I liked well enough pre-surgery but post surgery it's divine!

I loved salmon before surgery, but I agree salmon is divine after surgery!
