What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu, RNYers?NYers?
Hello all -
Quick post while at work so no pics.
I am getting really discouraged again with my weight loss. Stupid scale has been stuck again for three days. I just figured my monthly loss pre surgery and post surgery and post surgery.
My pre surgery weight loss I averaged .507 pounds per day at 950 - 1100 calories. I had 5 horrible days where I ate everything that I was craving. 3 of those days were over Thanksgiving. Then there were 2 other random days where I just blew it.
Post surgery I have averaged .537 a day at 525 - 625 calories a day. I have weighed out everything and have not eaten anythi g that was not on plan. It makes no sense to me and is frustrating me to no end. I keep hearing it will come off, but I'm beginning to wonder. The only good thing about it is that I am never hungry.
QOTD: I guess I would have to pick cake. I would prefer Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.
B- Protein shake
L- Chili cheese egg bake
D- cottage cheese (1/2 C) pouch tuna
S - diet cranberry juice
Calories - 553, Protein - 74, Carbs 16

Pre-op loss (6 1/2 Months) - 84.8 pounds
M1 - 17.2, M2 - 17.2, M3 - 13.4, M4 - 15.4, M5 - 13.8, M6 - 13.6, M7 - 10.8, M8 - 9.6, M9 - 5.0, M10 - 2.4, M11 - 3.8
I have had times like that but it did come off. Maybe try drinking more water or changing your menu up to trick your body. I try to keep my calories around 800 a day. At 525 a 625 maybe your body thinks it is starving? JB and Grim and a lot more knowledgeable than I, but just some thoughts. {{{{hugs}}}} It will come off in time.

Nothing Tastes as Good as Healthy Feels!
Doing great today. Feeling better. Boobie implant is all good. The doctor said I have a skin infection (which sucks but is WAY better than a rupture). Antibiotics should fix that up.Monday will see RNY doctor about the internal hernia issue that might be causing much of my bloating and abdominal pain. Adding antibiotics has been no fun...my poor pouch is very unhappy.
Looking forward to the weekend and time with my friends and kiddos this weekend. That and sleep!
QOTD: Cake...cup cake specific. If I could... but I can't ...so I don't. But yeah... mmmm
Photo FRIDAY:
This is me today...
This is a new mug my 18 year old sort of bought me... I love it. I have a small owl addiction.
Menu: B: Greek yogurt with granola; L: Frozen treat (I think it is ricotta bake); D: On the road... Not sure of totals but sure it will be protein forward.
Accountability: Nothing much sounds good or sits well lately. The intestinal madness I have going on is really giving me a hard time. I weighed 127 this morning. Still no smoking. Yea!
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Good for you still not smoking! I hope they can do something about the hernia so you feel better soon!

Hi juniper berry, Grimm and all. Just joined last night and am really happy that I did. My surgery is scheduled for April 26. I'm on the liquid diet right now. What I can't figure out Is that I've been on it for a week and a half and have stayed the same weight. Busy buying all the supplements meds etc. I may have to take up bank robbery... Hitchhike to my surgery. For the record I love both cake and pie. When I have cake I'm in it for the frosting. One of my favorite snacks was a jar of premade frosting.
I would try increase your water if you can. I try to get in about 150oz a day. Others on here get even more! I'm working on it too! I hit long lasting plateaus as well and it is very frustrating! Keep on your plan and the scale will move again. I'm sure the vets and others will have more advice for you as well. Since you have been lurking I'm sure that you already know this. This is such a great board to be on. As you can see I had the VSG and I still stay here. Everyone here is awesome!
Take Care!
