First time riding a rollercoaster in three years

This past weekend, a group of my good friends from college and I went to an amusement park in my hometown. I haven't ridden a rollercoaster in three years since my huge weight gain.

I fit on every ride I went on, and I even fit on some rides that I never tried in the past because I was worried I wouldn't fit and would have to do the "walk of shame" off the ride.

It was great being able to fit on every ride and enjoy them with some good friends. Surgery has given me so many great opportunities, and I'm forever grateful.

The best milestones in this journey are the ones that show us how full our new lives will be, and how we can do those things either we couldn't, or were afraid to do, when obese. It is a new miracle every day. Congrats on yours.

That is awesome!!!! Congratulations!!!

I said no to going to an amusement park today because I thought it would be a waste... wouldn't go on any rides... but thought to myself "this time next year, I'll be saying yes!"

Glad you're living life fully. :)

Super awesome! This is one of my goals - I'm turning 40 this year and we're going on a trip that will include lots of amusement rides and I am looking forward to being able to fit on the rides without holding my breath or having to do the 'walk of shame'.

This is one NSV I'll never know about but I'm glad you enjoyed.

I've got enough nausea in my life!

I'm with you Scott! Personally, I never enjoyed the dizzying, terrifying downward plunge of roller coasters. But each to his or her own!

Awesome NSV. It feels so good to be able to do things that we couldn't before. I went on my first roller coaster last year.

This past Memorial holiday weekend, I rode on a coaster where you can control how slow or how fast you care to go down. The amusement employee told me for the best thrill choose to go fast. He had no idea my biggest thrill was fitting in the seat and clicking the safety belt with ease.
