What's on your menu today (Thursday) RNYers?
happy birthday to Stacy, another August baby!!
Meeting a friend for dinner tonight at a Mexican place. Declined an invitation for tomorrow night since that'll be way too much eating out (Monday, tonight, and Sunday...even three times is too much. This is the kind of thing that got me to over 300 lbs in the first place). At least I'm much better at declining invitations now - and making OK choices when I do go out...
Accountability: I was really hungry all day yesterday. I had an extra yogurt and a protein bar (above and beyond what I'd planned on), but it wasn't too deadly. Calories were OK.
QOTD: We have a motion sensor light on our deck. We almost never go out there, though, esp not this summer with all the mosquitoes, so I don't even know if it works anymore. The rest of our outside lights are just regular lights, but this dusk-to-dawn thing has me thinking. We do have some break-ins in our area (although our street hasn't been hit in 3 or 4 years), but a majority of them seem to happen during the day. But still, it's good to have all this stuff in place because you never know...
2 years 2 months out (maintenance):
B: homemade Greek yogurt with fresh blueberries & raspberries
S: coffee with half & half, mango/coconut protein shake
L: either egg salad or tuna/chickpea salad on a FlatOut FoldIt, peach
D: 2 tacos
another yogurt or SF protein pudding pop or protein shake if I can afford the calories
Hi Daisy and menu peeps! Happy birthday, Stacy! Cheers to the start of a kickass new year :) And a fellow Leo! I turn (gulp) 40 in two weeks. Trying to wrap my head around that...
I got a late start this morning but I am off to do the elliptical while I take a work call. The joys of working from home!
QOTD: We have some landscaping lights that shine up at the house and are fab. They stopped turning on, so my BF checked it out - turns out when the power goes out, that resets so it didn't know that it was 9 pm. He fixed it :)
Time since surgery: 3 years 8 months
B: Emiepie egg salad! YUM!
L: Egg salad made with Trader Joes balsamic chicken strips
D: Grilled salmon and grilled polenta, with a brown sugar mustard sauce (new recipe)
E: Elliptical for one hour
V: Patches will go on after shower
Have a fab day, all! And here is a pic of yesterday's OH meet up - clockwise from bottom left is Erin T (VSG board menu post), Cynthia (NYMom), Gwen, and me! We had such a lovely lunch and afterwards I realized that between the 4 of us, we had lost 700 lbs!!! HOLY HOLY! :)

Great pic - always nice to put a face with a name! 700 lbs, wow! The best part, not a person around you would ever realize you all had WLS! You all look great, Happy and Healthy! inspring!
