meeting up with my Turkish friend in a couple of hours. This is our last weekend to do things together, because she's headed back to Turkey on Tuesday. Boo!! She said she might come back here next summer, though, but probably for only two or three weeks. Still, it's better than nothing! Not sure what all we'll do - or what the plans are for the rest of the weekend, either. But that's OK!
QOTD: I used to love to cook (still do - but I don't do it nearly as much anymore), so I have all kinds of kitchen gadgets, most of which I rarely, if ever, use (I've been thinking about a spiralizer lately, but not sure how often I'd use it). The items I use most (at least once a week) are my Instant Pot, my blender, and my grill pan (we have a gas stove, so using the grill pan over an open flame sort of mimics an outdoor gas grill).
Did mostly OK yesterday; I'm back down in my comfort weight range. Yay!
2 years 2 months out (maintenance):
B: homemade Greek yogurt raspberries
S: coffee with half & half, SF protein vanilla latte shake
L: running around with my friend, so not sure. I have a protein bar with me in case there aren't any safe choices
D: 1 C Moroccan beef stew topped with 2 T plain Greek yogurt
probably another yogurt if I can afford the calories
ex: we'll probably do a lot of walking around today. If not, I'll try to hit the gym if I have time
Morning everyone! I've been on my run and just finished breakfast. I'm meeting with the nutritionist today, not sure what we'll even talk about. I think I'll schedule her for six months out next time. I like goi g cause it helps me monitor my weight over the long term. Later I'm meeting up with my sisters in NJ and we're supposed to go kayaking. Then some more back to school shopping.
qotd: I have standard kitchen fare. I have zero interest in a spirilizer. I'm just replaced a number of pots/pans and am happy. Don't need much else.
195 today, 27 months out
m1: 2 scrambled eggs, 5 turkey sausage links
m2-4: uncertain, options include tuna packet, protein shake, sautéed shrimp, protein bar, yogurt. I'll make sure it's Protein forward.

Good Saturday morning!! Today we are bringing my car in for service, taking the dogs to the park and getting our shopping done. Then we are headed out to fun shop and go to lunch and see where the day takes us. ah...it will be a great day.
QOTD - I am a gadget person but the novelty wears off.. I have all kinds of things I thought I couldn't live without that I only used twice....waffle maker, air fryer...and the spiralizer I got for Christmas hasn't come out of the box yet, but I desperately wanted it! I used to want a kitchen aid but now, I don't think I even need one since I will not ever be eating the things I planned to use it for. But, I am still with you Erin. I need my amazing sharp knives, can't live without my cast iron and I love all my cool utensils and especially my lemon/lime juicer and my mirco-plane grater and there is so much more...I love kitchen stuff!!!

Good morning! Today's my Friday! So happy it's finally here. I've been feeling so tired and ravenous lately for some reason... shark week must be coming haha.
QOtD: I have a ridiculous amount of kitchen gadgets that keep getting gifted to me. This is funny to me because I don't particularly love to cook. I recently went through the kitchen with my husband and took out all the things that we haven't used in a lonnnnng time but there's still tons of it! I will say that I do really like the silicone spatula that I use for eggs and the silicone tipped tongs for searing tuna steaks. We also have a mandolin that I love but still have not used it! This weekend I'm going to rescue it from the box and try my luck with making zucchini chips. I think having those on hand will help with the late night urges to snackfest like crazy. We shall see, fingers crossed. There's a handful of other gadgets that I love but never use anymore because I can't eat the things I would have used them to make. I do really love our nutri-ninja blender though! Sometimes I'll make a "milkshake" with one of my premier protein shakes and ice - SO GOOD!
accountability: did good yesterday. Went over my 600 by about 150 but everything I ate was still a healthy choice.
b: decaf espresso and choc pp
l: 3 oz ground turkey with taco seasoning and a pinch of shredded sharp cheddar
d: 3 oz leftover turkey patty or leftover chicken sausage
s: Greek light and fit
s: maybe a Brie bite... I feel bad because hubby bought them for me but I don't think I can afford the calories. I hate hurting his feelings though, especially when I know he's trying to be supportive. Every time I try to explain the nutritional breakdown of what I can eat he gets agitated so I try to avoid that now. I wish he'd just quit buying food things for me! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
V: patches
e: it's gonna be a long day at work. Not sure if I've got it in me. My leg feels a little better though so I think it's time for me to hit the trails again. If not today then definitely tomorrow!!!!
happy weekend! Hope you all have a relaxing and fun couple of days off :)

First I wouldn't worry about going over your calories on one given day. I never felt I had to eat exactly the same amount of calories. A day I choose fish is going to have less calories than a day I choose steak.
As you said he is trying to be supportive in the way he knows how. As long as it isn't something totally off the deep end, maybe you can plan into your day. Don't just eat it spontaneously and off track because you will never feel good about it. Plan it for a different day when you have time to plan around it.
