What's on your Thursday menu, RNYers?

Good morning! Thought I'd get us started today. I had A phone interview several weeks ago and after I followed up, they got back to me saying that they decided to go with another applicant, but that they thought I'd be good for another role. So I tossed my hat into that ring and I'll play the waiting game again. Meanwhile at my current job, they are restricting (in a good way) and will be opening more leadership/management roles. I'll probably keep my ears perked for those opportunities as well. I don't dislike my job, but the pay could be more competitive.

qotd: what is your typical workout routine, if you have one? I usually do cardio for 30-45 minutes but I change up what machines I use (elliptical, bike, stairclimber). 3 days a week I do weights, and those days I'll do another 10-15 minutes just walking on the treadmill.

Breakfasr: coffee, SF pumpkin pie cream

snack: Greek L& F

lunch: leftover meatballs

dinner: salad with grilled chicken

Happy Thursday!! Cassie, is this with your DH's company still or a new organization? Very exciting that they solicited you for a different role, either way -- good luck!!

I am getting my hair cut and colored today; trying to decide if I"ll do one more round of my summer reddish blonde or switch to my winter darker red; I don't love the dark red but I get so many compliments (and I'm shallow that way, lol)

QOTD - I try to mix mine up so I don't get bored but it's a blend of treadmill, pilates, and body weight exercises; I also try to use my balance board regularly with the body weights/hand weights -- it makes me feel like I'm productive when I'm really jus****ching TV, lol. I am looking forward to the cool off -- it looks like 9/20 (next thursday!!) starts are movement out of the 100s and then I can get off the treadmill and walk outside!

Accountability - I planned what I ate, ate what I planned and accidentally went to a level 1.5 class vs a level 1 class so got a really good work out in!

26 oz coffee & half and half

B - Greek L&F

L - 4 oz deli roast beef

D - 4 oz deli peppered ham

427/55/16 (I know I need to add a protein snack in here)

Have a terrific Thursday all!

This is with DHs place of employment :) we'd be in different departments though, so it's not like I'd be with him day in and day out, but our hours would be similar enough that we could carpool on days he doesn't go play nerd games with his friends after work.

Lol it's a solitary existence sometimes, being the wife of a nerd :P I'm on my own for dinner 2-4 times a week depending on what's going on.

Morning folks. I'm staying home again today- I only feel marginally better. I still feel like I need to rest- so thats what I will do. I took fluids like a champ yesterday, over 100oz. (I don't do that in a normal day) of course that means I'm in the bathroom pretty much every hour of the day and night. Today I'll at least shower to function like a human. I'll also wash the sheets- I hate the idea of the germs lingering on them.

Qotd: tues/thurs I'm in the gym. 35 minutes of cardio (15 minute run, 20 minutes of elliptical, stepper or circuit training) and the remainder of the hour is weights. Sat/Sun I run minimum of 6.5 miles each day. I'm training for my 1/2 Marathon, so Sunday's I'm building into a longer run, current at 8.

214.5 today, 3.4 years out

m1: egg, turkey sausage links

m2: leftover pork chop or yogurt

m3: tuna, cheese stick

m4: chicken Parmesan

I hope you continue to feel better! I am with you on showering when sick--sometimes even just that will make me feel somewhat better. Also, if I'm congested, the steam helps :)
