I'll start us off as the weather has caused a two-hour delay for me this morning and I am just sitting here watching the news and wasting time... I should be more productive. It isn't snowing here yet.

QOTD: ?

10 months out and 165.5 still

M1: Greek yogurt and fiber one twigs

M2: PP chocolate shake (if needed)

M3: Buddigs turkey, boiled egg, cheese stick

M4: Asain pear and cheese stick

M5: leftover ground turkey, tomatoes, onion and garlic with a sprinkle of cheese

Have a great Thursday!

Edit to add School closed not long after I posted so my menu will look different since I am home and I am planning to eat things that are warm because I am so cold!

You can't measure your achievements with someone else's yardstick!

We need to have more questions!

we paid the piper (hydrofrack) guy yesterday. it was expensive! :( but he said we are getting about 4-6 gallons a minute which is pretty darn good for this mountain. I feel like I'm on the Walton show! shee**** is still raining here- it just won't stop!

I spilled my coffee creamer and protein and splenda all over the floor this morning. that was not cool so had to play mop queen and get it all off the floor.

QOTD: any home repairs/projects you are doing?

So - we have a few mini projects to get done at the house by the end of the year- 1) put up the rock cover for the new expensive water filter before it freezes up and mulch it to get keep the wind out, 2) install some plywood in the shop/garage to protect and warm the house a bit more, 3) get my countertop installed /sink faucet in kitchen (yes i have no kitchen sink, again), 4) install the roof boot for the wood burning stove, and 5) finish the grout for the tile shower. I think that is it that has to get done by end of the year. The other project is expanding the master closet into the vacant space where the furnace room is so DH and I can share the same space.

Food for today:

coffee

chicken wings

prot pancakes

not sure what else

jello

planning on working out today after work.

Up in the middle of the night here, cats woke me up and sleep is elusive.

I'm feeling extremely stressed these days, horribly so, but the good news is it's not messing with my intake. I haven't weighed yet today, but still am steady in taking in 650 or fewer calories per day. Sooner or later that will result in me being in the 130's!

Yesterday I had a spare hour and was out and about, so went into a store and was trying on jeans. I'm still in size 27, which confusingly different brands claim as different womens sizes. Vanity sizing is bizarre! None of the jeans i tried on looked great from the side (my waist is small but I have extra abdominal stuff going on - not a good effect), but at least they buttoned and zipped without a struggle. I'm determined to get a pair of jeans but so far none have been very flattering, except to my ego when they are labelled as size 6, even though I know it's nonsense. Also annoying: ridiculously low rises, plus supposedly high-rise jeans not reaching my natural waist. Oh well! Somewhere there must be a pair which will look good on my pre-tummy tuck body. The quest goes on!

Despite jeans frustration, I have to say it was pretty great to be looking at small sizes of tops, wearing a size small jacket, and actually looking kinda thin, or at any rate no longer overweight! I didn't have to feel embarrassed or out of place amongst the lean women shopping there. A man told me a little while ago that I have "the perfect figure", which though flattering, simultaneously made me feel a little like a fraud. I thought to myself "if you only knew!". Honestly I don't know how I'm going to be able to go to bed with anyone until I've had plastics and am healed. Since I don't yet have the money, we're talking about years. The only way around it short of winning the lottery is to have someone I want be so crazy about me that they won't be put off. I hate when sex is fraught with anxiety. I really wish this wasn't an issue!

QOTD: I'm renting up here, so no repair projects or expenses.

First: 3 or 4 big mugs of tea

B: meat loaf

L: tuna with melted cheddar

D: ham

S: probably not necessary protein-wise.

Have yourselves some fun today, my RnY kindred!

I hear ya on the "dating with extra skin" thing. Before I had my plastics, I dated and no one was running in fright from my excess skin although it made me very self-conscious. I think most men are just excited to have a naked woman to have sex with LOL.

Try going into Nordstroms and checking out the jeans brand NYDJ. It stands for "not your daughter's jeans". They are a higher rise, and have some stretch in them. I ADORE them. If I am lucky, I find them at Nordstrom Rack for $30-$50. Unlucky, Nordstrom for $100. But perhaps those will work for you. They also have vanity sizing so you may just fit into a size 4 ;)

Thank you! I'll check those jeans out!

And thanks for your insight re: dating with extra skin. I'm not sure I can relax enough to pull that off, though I hope I would be able to. But it is a good incentive to steadily save for plastics!

I did purchase something from swap once before, so not sure if you will receive credit, but I'll try.

Cara, I've been married for almost 25 years so have been out of the dating game for a long time. But girl, any guy would be lucky to date you. Don't downplay the compliments, you worked hard to get where you are, you are not a fraud. And as DCgirl said, I think guys are just happy to have the woman they want in bed, I really don't think they'd pay much attention to the extra skin. We are our worst critics.
