Hello everyone! Work today, get off at 230, take a nap, then back to work my overnight shift at 1030 pm. I haven?t had caffeine since surgery, but my doc said I could drink some unsweetened iced tea tonight on my shift if I need it. So that?ll be nice! Hoping the shutdown ends soon so I will start getting a paycheck again. Anyways.

Qotd: sleep isn?t great but I think it may be due to a newer mattress that is a bit too firm. May need a topper or something. I have noticed that since surgery I no longer have to wake up at night to pee, which is pretty awesome! Less ?bad water? or more room for my bladder. Either way, I like it!

B: HB egg. PP vanilla shake

S: Carb master cottage cheese.

L: 2 oz shredded beef, 2.5 oz beans

D: probably 2 HB eggs

Working without pay is not a good situation! I am the opposite -- since surgery, since I've had to get to over 100 oz water each day, I am shocked when I wake up and DIDN'T get up to pee, lol.

Fear not menu friends, I haven't given up the battle and curled into a fetal position with a box of Yodels. Our wireless keyboard ran out of batteries and I didn't know where to find the backups. Evidently, either my son or my wife was able to locate the spares.

QOTD: I sleep less after surgery. Particularly on weekends and other times when I don't need to wake up. Fortunately I have had only a few nights where I am raring to go at 2:45. Mostly its between 5 and 6.

I'm going to build off of what Sheila posted. These pictures are from a horse race in Sienna called Palio. The square is the same as the one in Sheila's pictures. Each neighborhood that races has their own colors and Sheila had pointed out that this may be where the inspiration for the Quiditch match scenes from Harry Potter came from.

Breakfast: Turkey meatballs and cottage cheese

Snack: Protein Bar

Lunch: Salmon

Snack: Light and fit

Dinner: Skirt steak

I sleep 7.5 hours very consistently. I just don't go to sleep till very late.

The Mrs' 55 bithday on Saturday. There is a huge chocolate cake coming this way. Friends are coming to help eat it. And then we are going to hear jazzzzzz. Sunday the opera. Yeah!
