What's on your Monday Menu, RNYers?

Good morning everyone! I have been on vacation (staycation) and have missed posting!

QOTD - My go to appliance is in a tie for first. I would have to say my blender, then my crockpot. The blender because I use it every single day to make my smoothie. It's a fast blender, and red which makes me happy. The crockpot, only because when I do use it, it just makes dinner life so much easier!

Breakfast - none, fasting until noon

Lunch - Beyond meat cooked with onion, potatoes and zucchini, along with 1/2 vegan chipotle bowl (splitting both with husband)

Snack - 1/2 peanut butter/jelly sandwich, cucumbers

Dinner - Not sure, but I have popcorn, trail mix (high in seeds, no chocolate, low in dried fruit), and peanut butter.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Christina

Let it begin with me.

Getting a bit of a late start as I had to let my hands warm up after my 3.5 miles with Miss Lily. It went from 50 yesterday morning to 30 feels like 13 this morning. Cold, damp and extremely windy makes for a fast walk. We'll do another mile at least this evening too. Accountability was spot on food and stepwise yesterday and weight is 120.4. QOTD definitely my coffee pot. We've debated an instant pot but so far haven't bought one. Here's the food plan for today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 3/4 c cheesy broccoli soup D 4 oz grilled shrimp skewers S if needed L&F yogurt. Have a great day full of healthy choices everyone!

My favorite kitchen "appliance" is still my old-fashioned pressure cooker. I just don't want another appliance to store so have never bought the Instant Pot. I use the pressure cooker for chicken, beef, and pork to get tender meat in minutes.

I used to buy every new appliance gadget immediately and have a huge garage sale once a year to get rid of the things I only used once or twice.

Ha that is me, too. I have bought so many different types of appliances over the years and systematically gotten rid of 99% of them. I have had juicers, dehydrators, Belgium waffle makers, ice cream makers, bread machines.... you name it. Apparently I am NOT, in fact, just one appliance away from wanting to cook, lol.

I remember being at a store buying something once and my husband saying, "Is that for your next garage sale?"

morning everyone and happy last Monday of 2019. I had a horrible night's sleep. I've been coughing like crazy and my nighttime cold meds wore off around 3. I should have just given in and stayed awake, but noooo, I took more nighttime cough meds, which means I woke up about the time I normally leave the house. The extra 2 hours of sleep it bought me was not worth it. Luckily it seems like most of Los Angeles is taking today and tomorrow off of work, so I was only a half hour "late" ("late" is a relative term. I think I'm the first attorney in the office) I saw Little Women yesterday and it's perfection. I highly recommend it.

QOTD: I fell in love with my mini food processor during my recent liquids phase. I don't have any of the fancy appliances like an air fryer or instapot, but the mini food processor saved my sanity during that 6-week period.

My plan:

B: The rest of a carnitas burrito, gutted

L: BBQ chicken

D: Bunless burger

S: latte (x 1000 . . . ok not really but likely x2), moon cheese

Feel better!

I had an awesome commute today, too! Would it be great if 75% of people stayed home every day??
