I found the narration amazing for the audio book.

Happy Wednesday! JB, are you getting one that does the iFit/google maps link? I have that on my elliptical and I LOVE it - yesterday morning I did a 20 minute beach walk in BoraBora and last night 40 minutes in the Scottish highlands. With the elliptical, I do both the treadmill and elliptical options depending on the location!

So many meetings...and before this I struggled to find time to do my job. I need to reframe and understand that apparently my number 1 job is to meet.

qotd - the book I read on the Spanish flu last year is really haunting me these days!

Menu today is

cottage cheese with 1 tbs PB

RGF jalapeño poppers

salami and cheese

light and fit greek

cookies and cream PP, heated up

Half and half in my coffee

Today is supposed to be our nicest day this week so I might get out on the deck this afternoon, and I need to work on the awful puzzle and I have a shorter elliptical session during lunch. Should be a good Wednesday!!

have a great day everyone!

Yeah I should have mentioned the Spanish Flu book we read last year is also top of mind right now!

Yes the model I got has a nice big screen, and a year's free subscription to iFit. I am a little nervous that I won't be able to keep up with the trainers because I've let my running slide and I am not in great shape lately. I honestly think it would be a struggle to get through a 5k right now... yikes. I am also short, so my run pace is never as fast as the average Joe. I saw the reviews on the app say that its frustrating that you can't set your own pace, so I am a little worried, but excited nonetheless.

They have all levels so you can start at the best level for you.

sometimes I just want the view and not the trainer, so I turn the sound down, and the change any setting.... it over rides the trainer but you get to still follow along the track. When I want to go back to their control, I just tap "follow workout" on the screen. Maybe the treadmill will be the same

We went to Bora Bora for our 25th wedding anniversary in 2015. It was wonderful.

I should get that Spanish flu book. i know the one you're talking about - there were excerpts from it in I think The Smithsonian (or maybe it was just an article by the same author - I can't remember). This was a couple of years ago - soon after it was published, I think. I read it on a plane - it was fascinating! (and now - probably scary!)

Good morning! I have to say that there is NO WAY I could restrain myself if there was fresh bread in the house (especially after smelling it baking). Love Grim, but geez... The only way I have been able to lose over the last few months is by keeping the stuff I crave out of the house (fresh bread would be in that category). I do snack but have to use substitutes that I know will satisfy cravings and not enhance them (again, fresh bread would be in the latter category). Good luck!

QOTD: I have read voraciously since I was about 5. I read for enjoyment, to reduce stress, to put me to sleep, or for any other reason I can think of. Right now I am finishing one book every 1-2 days (thank goodness for kindle book downloads from the library). Because I move from one book to another, I rarely keep one in the forefront of my mind for any extended length of time.

I have done surprisingly well avoiding the bread (and even the chocolate chip cookies!) recently. But the brownies were a little harder to resist.

I swear to God he is fattening me up for the kill in case he runs out of Quest bars during quarantine.
