What's on your Thursday Menu?
Good morning. I'm glad to see you start getting better. Meeting deadlines is great. Congratulations.
I also often don't go to the doctor, specially when I have a cold. Even when I had covid, I only had video conference. Last time I had a nasty cold, I only texted them to ask for albuterol inhaler for breathing.
Qotd: Amazon- I'm horrible. And I forget what I ordered....ugh.
I have a massage today at noon, soim going to work in the morning and after the massage. And i plan to work late. Long day again...
Yesterday I ate proper meals. Even a little better than expected. For dinner I ended eating Polish sausage with mustard. That really filled me up. But i went to bed late, so today I'm going to run on 5 hr sleep. I may get a nap during the massage.
Today menu:
Liquids
Late lunch : Salad with some proteins
S: cheese, bacon, apple
D: may get stick sausage with mustard. I forgot that I really like that combination

unrelated to today, but a response re: a side conversation yesterday (it's a pain digging through a lot of responses to a previous day's postings!)
travel insurance - I got it this time, too, because of our two mothers. It's much more likely these days that I'd have to cancel a trip. We lost a ton of money a couple of years ago because MIL had to have emergency surgery about a week before we were supposed to head to Italy. Anyway, to save money on insurance for my upcoming trip, most of the hotels I picked allow cancellation as long as you contact them 1-3 days in advance (depending on the hotel). SO...I didn't have to include those in my policy, since I can cancel those without losing anything. Plus I think given my age, it's probably good to have the medical part of travel insurance now. My HMO will cover emergency care (but it's a reimbursement, not direct pay), but nothing else - and if my "emergency care" involved some kind of surgery that I had to pay up front, well, that could be a pain. My travel insurance will pay that kind of thing directly, so I don't have to involve my insurance company. The cost of the policy wasn't too bad - but not having to include the hotels made it a lot cheaper than it would have been otherwise.

Good morning ~ Happy to hear you are feeling better JB. I hope you are able to get all the cookie stuff done and still rest. Work is work. I started listening to Bag of Bones yesterday and so far so good. It's read by Steven King which is pretty cool. I also just finished watching Queen Charlotte, loved it. Now I need watch Bridgerton. I tried to get into it before, but couldn't now I'm sure I will. Still feeling a bit foggy in general.
QOTD - I order all the things and when there is a lull in my deliveries I feel empty.

B- coffee, protein bar
l - chicken
d- chicken tender fajitas

Love them - you were right, not too sweet! Some protein bars are just so sweet they make me queasy.

I will admit that my recycling bin might look a tad fuller due to our deliveries from Amazon and other sites. Doesn't it drive you insane when they ship a box (that could have been used to ship something) inside another box?
