Good Morning Everyone! Happy Monday! Pretend there was a funny meme there. I still can't upload most things, and spent way too long trying this morning. OH started looking into it, but it's not solved yet.

ICYMI this weekend, I got an email on Friday afternoon from the job I want! They asked me to do one more step today and meet with their Sr Vice President :) So that means I have an interview with my 2nd choice job at 11am, and then the final interview with the 1st choice job at 2pm. I hope this all moves quickly because the 3rd choice job is still waiting to hear from me with a decision! Eep, it's all happening, now!

The rest of the week needs to be all cookies, all the time. I baked my butt off all weekend! I have gotten a ton of Valentine's Day orders, which is awesome-- but now, apparently, I have to actually make them? Less exciting, lol.

QOTD: Tell us about your go-to winter coat. I collect winter coats like old ladies collect porcelain figurines, haha. I have so many, but I don't really like any of them because I think I fundamentally dislike big coats. My top two are: 1.) An Emerald Green boiled wool long coat. It's warm and sort of stylish. 2.) A recent purchase of a huge puffy coat from Target. I bought it 2 sizes too big so that it hangs loosely when I am stuffed into it with big sweaters and scarves. It's not stylish at all and I probably look like a periwinkle squishmallow, but it gets the job done. My only complaint is that there are way too many deep pockets and I can never figure out which pocket I put my phone in.

Morning gang. I hope you all had a good weekend. Ours was pretty low key. I spent most of Saturday going through storage bins, looking for some family history stuff. I sorted through a bin of loose photos while I was at it, and threw out about 75% of the volume. A few mostly empty photo albums took up a lot of space. And double prints -- remember the days of societal pressure to order double prints at the Fotomat? Spend extra money, and get stuck with two of everything for the rest of your life.

QOTD: I still go out without a coat about half the time. I have a lightweight fleece I wear more than anything else. Then I've got a work-type coat with a hood that I'll use if it's going to get dirty, or if it's snowing while shoveling. Then I've got a dressy winter wool coat that rarely gets used.

We were talking about that just this weekend....when you'd pay extra to get them today, to sort through the 27 photos and see if any of them were good....and how exciting it was when you could get photos AND a cd of them. It was very much in the context of someone's kid had seen a disposable waterproof camera and was like WTF is that and what do you do with it.

Of course, Polaroids were just plain magic. My mom had an older Polaroid that was about as big as a toaster oven today.

My first digital camera held a floppy disc. It was huge. Now all the digital cameras are pretty much obsolete unless you do photograph professionally.

I use my digital camera weekly but I did go phone only for this trip just to see how I liked it (and I wasn't worried about missing anything because I've been to key west multiple times). Phone camera is great but I will keep using my digital!

My BIL is one of those "purists" who still uses film camera. You won't hear the end of it if you ask him about photography! A hike with him last 4 times longer because he is constantly taking pics of plants.

Everyone knows someone like that. Film camera people are a whole other breed of purists. They make the vinyl record player people look like chumps.

So true.
My kids to this day blame us for forcing them to sit through those long slide shows of their uncle taking pictures of lichens. 2 hours of lichens.
