Good morning all. It was weird having the house to myself yesterday. But it was so nice to see her excited about the new job. The difference between this and her last couple of jobs is stark. It was a great start.

Now, if anyone can explain how I can get this woman to stay hydrated, and wear good shoes, I'd be glad to hear it.

QOTD: I might be the impetus for this question. I have an appointment to donate platelets today. I had stopped when I had a bleeding ulcer a few years back, then covid hit, and I stopped getting regular blood work. Now that I am up on all my labs, and JB is started back to work, it seemed like a good time to start donating again.

Everything is digital now! My donor card is on my phone, instead of an actual card. I can review past donations, totals, make appointments, etc. And instead of answering a million questions at the Red Cross, I can do it on the app. Now, I've answered these same questions 127 times, according to my digital donor card, but they have to be answered each time, the day of. Some still surprise me, a little. Have I had anal sex with a new partner in the last three months? Not in the last hree months is my answer. Have I had sex for money or other payment in the last three months? No, but not for lack of trying. There must be 50 questions like that. Nosy, nosy people.

I think I remember hearing that platelet donation "works" for some people who can't give whole blood, since they just remove the platelets and then replace the blood. I should probably look into this..

You always lose a wee bit of red cells, but probably what you'd lose having a few tubes drawn for labs. But it's certainly less. It takes about 90 days to replace red cells, but only about 2 days to replace platelets.

Good morning, everybody!

"Do you think that I could pull those overalls off?"

Me, "I think that would be really aggressive/"

"What"

"Well, when you say 'pull them off' do you mean, like a situation where Roger should keep the car in drive because you are going to go in for a snatch and grab"

"No, Jim. I was actually thinking of buying my own pair."

Lisa will look cute as all get go in her new overalls. Even more so without a pending assault conviction.

Okay, respect to Kelly and Amy for consistently posting early despite the 3 hour time difference. As you saw, I was only able to make it to post once in the 6 days. By the time that I was ready, it was already 9:00 Pacific, so noon on the East Coast, and I would just say "oh I'll do it tomorrow". I haven't even been able to read very much, so hopefully I will get caught up tonight.

We got home about 11:30 last night. I'm a little tired, but my spirits are thriving. In the office today, back to Crossfit tonight, and we have to start thinking about Price is Right with Matt on Saturday.

QOTD: I am a fainter, so was given the same talk as Jen.

We kind of let our food supplies run down before vacation, so this is a guess:

Breakfast: Protein bar

Lunch: turkey sandwich

Dinner: Sausage

have a great day, all!

Ok, this may not be as funny if you weren't there, but you started my day with snorting coffee. A good sign of a great day ahead.

(The girl wearing the overalls was like 22, hence the "can I pull those off?")

Good morning ~ SO glad to hear you had a great first day and have a reason to buy new shoes - win-win! I had a wonderful weekend meet up with some OH'ers. It was fun catching up and getting to know some new friends. Lots of great food, wine and laughs - fab! I will save the photo share for those who actually took the pictures. Rob picked up my glasses from Costco yesterday and they are both perfect so far. I'm pleasantly surprised. Today I have a huge work load including catch up for yesterday. It'll be a door closed kind of day.

QOTD - No, I have never donated blood. The needle (or harpoon) they use makes me ill to even think about. I am guilted every 6 months when our dept. does a blood drive. I'd tell them I was anemic, but it's too late now. They already know I'm just a fraddy-cat. My dad donated gallons in his lifetime. I wish I could remember how many - it was up there though.

Accountability - I was wasn't feeling well for half of Sun and all of Mon so I didn't eat much. 182.8 today. Feeling better today.

B- coffee x ? yogurt, 3 strawberries, protein granola

l - RealGood chicken burrito

D- breakfast for dinner

Have a great day!

I saw an instagram reel where they took those burritos, coated them in cheese and then air fried them to turn them into crispy enchiladas. It looked delicious

I have trouble with cheese in the air-fryer. The fan always blows the cheese off the food.
