Happy Hump Day, gang! Well, Amazon's got my back because my decaf Nespresso pods are delayed a day. Now they should be here by 10pm today, so I was able to hold off the inevitable misery for one more day. We are going away this weekend, though, so poor Grim is literally going to be stuck in a hotel room with me while I detox from caffeine. That should go well for him, haha.

QOTD: How do you navigate social situations that are centered around food? I can't seem to get my head around this anymore--looking for advice and inspiration.

Good mornin y'all!

today is just the dentist to get 8 teeth extracted and then home to heal. I have jello and pudding...oh and broth. I am running on little sleep so hopefully I'll zonk out sometime today. I have to be there at 7:30 so at least it'll be done.

QOTD: thankfully I don't have a lot of social things anymore...usually just my immediate family is around. It's been a long time since I've been in one. When the entire family would get together I would just have a small plate with a small amount of whatever they brought or say I tried it. Some of the extended family thought they were great cooks but were really really not. They were the type you had to walk on egg shells.

B: eggs, aioli, cheese and saltine crackers. Coffee x 1

The rest is all soft stuff. Maybe a PP shake this afternoon?

I'm home and extremely sore. Ugh...the back right molar broke apart and took 45 minutes for just its removal. They filed the front of my jaw bone, that hurt almost as much as the molar. Stitched up and on my road to healing! So sore. Have to take penicillin.

How is is only Wednesday! At least for me, tomorrow is my friday so there's that. I have back to back half hour meetings from 6:30 to 3:30 (because I moved everything off friday morning) and then meet my trainer at 4.

Qotd - "I"m not hungry, I'll just have a beverage" works, even out to dinner. I do try to plan ahead so I can participate and sometimes I throw it all out the window and eat what I want. Carry a club soda and lime so your hands are full to not nibble. Also, I'm very social so I mix, mingle, talk, socialize and I think people notice a lot less what you are/are not eating than you think they do so for the most part, I really don't have to navigate what other people think about my food choices because I really don't care.

I did make tacos last night so I really do need to make my leftovers from saturday, maybe I'll have them for breakfast.
