Finally Friday's Menu

Good morning gang. We did again another week in the books. The scale printer is still down and IT doesn't know when they will have remote access to reinstall the printer driver. I must have gone back and forth to the scale house about 6 times, and I had 10,000 steps in by noontime. I emailed all the haulers to let them know that I would be emailing tickets to them today since I can print them off from my computer.

I am so very glad that it is Friday. Irvin and I might be going to watch the grandkids do their first race tomorrow if the weather permits. His son messaged him and asked him what size t-shirt he wears because he is ordering pit crew shirts. The shirts will be orange with a big racing flag on the back and the front will have McLaughlin Racing on it. He's so excited and like a kid in a candy store. He just loves anything to do with cars.

QOTD: Does anyone know what the fear of Friday the 13th is called? I do, but I want to see who else knows. While many people are superstitious of Friday the 13th I for one have always found it to be a lucky day. Case in point I bought a $1 scratch ticket yesterday but waited to scratch it today and I won $5. It might not be much, but it is a win.

B: coffee and breakfast wrap

L: salad with grilled chicken

D: baked cod with fresh baby kale, red onion, blue cheese, and EVOO

30 minutes on the treadmill

Have a great Friday and weekend everyone!!!

Mornin y'all!

it's a wait day here as the window for delivery is 10 to 5. Hopefully it'll be on the earlier end of things. I had to cancel my PT today. I just don't feel up to it all. I'll do the home exercises but not the weighted stuff. I can barely use my right arm effectively. Ugh!

Percy attacked Tange again about 10 minutes ago. I'm pissed at him. Out to the garage today. I'm really frustrated. It's hot here finally and I hate it because it's also very humid. Blah!

QOTD: I know what it's called but I can't ever remember how to pronounce it! I like the day myself and think it's cool. I'm a bit of a numbers nerd.

B: egg burrito and coffee

L: not sure...my aunt is coming over so we'll likely get Thai.

D: probably an egg with a slice of bread and cheese

pic dump!

Did you make those butterflies? They are beautiful.

So sorry your arm is still so painful, good for you keeping up with your home exercises. Yikes, when pets don't get along it's awful. I brought a feral into our 4-cat household but none of them tolerated him and one would routinely attack. Is there any hope Percy and Tange will ever get along? Crossing fingers for you!

Beautiful lightning photo, did you take it? And the butterflies are really pretty it must have taken a long time to get all those edges smooth and then connected.

Hope your humidity will break soon.

Thank you! I did take the lightning photo a few years ago!

the butterflies were made with "scales" that a jump ring manufacturer makes and I put them together with jump rings.

I did not know there was a name for it. I remember reading about it once and it goes back to the time of the crusades. I guess I always believed it was an unlucky day.

Good morning, everyone!

Another Friday in the books. Nothing like the feeling of a summer Friday! I have a number of calls in the morning, but the afternoon is wide open.

I am signed up for a Sprint Triathlon in downstate Illinois tomorrow. It's several hours drive to get there, but if I wanted to do something before the 2 in August, it really needs to be this weekend because I am going to Florida next weekend and then we have a two week cruise that knocks out at least three weekends.

The issue is that it's going to be raining this weekend. They will have the race as long as it's not lightening outside. Fingers crossed because it's a lot of unnecessary driving if the race is canceled. BTW, check the map Illinois is a very long state. As for the race: 500 swim, 12 mile bicycle and 5K run. Should be fun weather permitting.

Other than that, driving Marilyn and my younger son to the airport on Sunday morning and fishing with my older son Sunday afternoon.

QOTD: Yes!

Breakfast: corned beef hash

Lunch: chicken

Dinner: TBD in downstate

Have a great day, all!

Your ongoing fitness efforts are impressive and I applaud your committment! Good luck on the race and I'll cross fingers for no rain. Sounds like the whole family is going to have a great weekend and a great summer.
