Happy Tuesday Gang. We ended up doing a quick session of just the weight machines at the Y last night because I had taken a quarter of one of the pigs out of the freezer and had to get it cut up and grind what I wanted to make into sausage and such. It's a time consuming job, but I'm trying to clear out one of the freezers to make room for chickens we will be doing in a couple of months. There is no rest for the wicked. LOL

I'm back in the scale house today and tomorrow, but at least I don't have anything to do outside in the heat. I plan on cleaning up a little more in here and Renee is supposed to be back next Wednesday.

QOTD: Has anyone here ever tried RYZE mushroom coffee? I've seen commercials for it for a while now and finally decided to get some. I'm trying it today for the first time so will let you all know tomorrow how it is. Supposedly it helps with brain fog, focus, energy, and digestion.

B: coffee and squash and eggs

L: ham and cheddar wrap and trying the RYZE coffee

D: salad with pork burgers

treadmill and swimming at the Y

Have a great day everyone!!

QOTD: I disklike mushrooms and I don't think I could get it out of my head even if everyone says it doesn't taste like mushrooms. I am curios on what you think though.

I just can't stay idle, plus it's not good to sit around I've seen far to many family members and friends have serious medical issues as they got older due to not moving.

Good morning, everybody!

I had my second to last outdoor swim class last night. I was happy because I felt like I swam well. I am going to try to get in the water today as well because with the end of the summer break, there are not a lot of opportunities left to swim. And the Chicago Triathlon is fast approaching. I guess that kind of answers Matt's question on the other thread. Generally, more Crossfit and less outdoor running and swimming during the cooler (and probably more important , darker months). I do love my reindeer runs , though. And Chrissy will be glad to know that I am signed up for Run with The Nuns.

I am headed to the doctor's to get my tooth pulled this afternoon. It will be a relief to have it out, I have been worried that it would break off and I would swallow it.

QOTD: No. I don't regularly drink coffee. Usually just if I'm cold. I will ask Lisa if that is what she drinks, I know she can't drink real coffee and has something that she calls fake coffee, but I don't know if its made from mushrooms.

Breakfast: Bagel

Lunch: pasta

Dinner: Depending on my tooth, it might just be yogurt or something like that.

Have a great day, all!

Super super late response for me. Yesterday sucked...big time. My CT scan was done and I had the results by 4. Not exactly great news. at least the rotator cuff wasn't injured as well.

the results:

There is a tear of the posterior superior and posterior inferior labrum, with a 3 mm

elevated flap (series 2 image 43, series 5 image 91, series 4 image 73). No other labral

tear or SLAP lesion is seen. No paralabral cyst is identified.

There is no glenohumeral arthropathy, subluxation, or dislocation.

There is prominent acromioclavicular arthropathy for a 44-year-old patient, with joint

space narrowing, cortical irregularity, subchondral cyst formation, and mild spur

formation. There is anterior downsloping of a type II acromion narrowing the

acromiohumeral interval to 8 mm.

No fracture is seen. No other osseous or soft tissue abnormality is seen.

IMPRESSION:

Tear of the posterior superior and posterior inferior labrum.

Prominent acromioclavicular arthropathy, advanced for age. Anterior downsloping of the

acromion narrowing the acromiohumeral interval.

No rotator cuff tear is seen. There is mild atrophy of part of the superior half of the

subscapularis muscle.

Prominent acromioclavicular arthropathy for a 44-year-old patient.

it is what it is. I'm pretty upset as there is a major chance I'll have to give up my chianmaille hobby. I may be over thinking it or jumping to conclusions. Hopefully I'll get an appointment with the orthopedic doctor by the end of this week but if not I'll call Monday. I am unbelievably sore as the contrast they injected into the joint leaked out more than they anticipated. It's really swollen and my arm is just the sorest it's ever been.

We also had the water main break just once house down from us. We had no water from 2pm until 10 pm, it's brown too but getting clearer. Apparently it was a bad break but at least they got right in it. We may lose it some today as I don't think they are completely done.

QOTD: I'll be honest...the thought of it makes me kind of squeamish. I love mushrooms for eating but hate hate hate kombucha and I'm afraid the coffee would have the same effect. Saying that, I would try it if given it but wouldn't buy a whole package at first.

Food was a little wild. All combined ai had around 1800 calories.
