Good morning all and Happy Tuesday,

We're already one day closer to the weekend!

We had severe thunderstorms last night and the rain was torrential. I sat with the dog, watching as the storm wrapped it's tight grasp around Chicago. It was Awesome.

The storm is setting the stage for lower temps, which are very welcome.

Twenty minutes ago, I snagged a coveted , elusive DMV appt for 9:30. My morning will now be spent waiting at the DMV to get a new license with my current address. My license expires in November so two birds, one stone, one happy Matt.

QOTD- As Summer is starting to be on the outs, how does your outdoor physical activity change to reflect the new weather, amount of daylight, and changing of seasons?

In the summer, getting physical activity in is easy, as I don't need to count steps when being at fests, farmers markets, beaches, parks, walking the dog and casually strolling around different neighborhoods. I'm a lot more active in summer, knowing the Chicago 100 days of summer goes very quick.

B: Dannon Light and Fit Coconut Yogurt, cherries.

L: Rib tips and beans. Salad.

D: Chicken marsala and mushrooms, green beans.

Have a Vünderbar Tuesday y'all.

Good luck at the DMV, I hope it goes smooth. I just replied to the other post but to answer this QOTD: I tend to walk more outside and try and enjoy fresh air during breaks when I can.

When I was younger I walked or rode my bike all Spring, Summer, and Fall. Now I am happy to be at the pool and sitting in the sun. I am usually cold and appreciate the hot days and warm sunshine. Winter gets more depressing every year and I understand why people to south. I keep thinking about North Carolina. My sister and her husband have a home there and said I can move in with them any time.

I love my condo and my cat so staying here as long as I can.

QOTD: Well with having a small farm there are always outdoor activities that need to be done daily, but as the weather gets cooler and the days shorter I start to shift towards what do I have to get put up before snow falls. Like you I definitely get a bunch more physical activity in the Summer time there is always something going on.

Is your gardening like mine where all the most labor intensive crops all overlap each other ripening at the same time? I need to be picking apples for the food bank (I have way too much sauce and juice canned), the blackcurrants are ripe and the plum tree needs to be juiced and canned. All while the tiny garden pumps put green beans, cherry tomatoes, Korean cucumbers and of course, zucchini! Hahaha

Storms are wonderful, especially if there is thunder and lightening. Yours sounded awesome. Hope your DMV appointment went well (and quickly!).

QOTD: As summer winds down I'm so tired of the dry heat and just over the garden. I'm pretty much only outside in the morning when the dew gives a false impression of a mild day.

Your dinner sounds like it was delicious. It's been a few years since I've made that but it would be a great menu idea, thanks.

After yesterday's fiasco eating I took it easy on the pouch.

B: My frosty chocolate protein shake.

L: a strawberry Outreach skinny popsicle. It was good but not worth the carbs.

D: 1 cup of ff Greek yogurt w/1tsp sugar free jello powder stirred in.

Wardrobe chaos trying to find something for the funeral. My black skirt falls down past my hips. Now I have an alteration job. Tomorrow errands galore and cleaning the car. Meanwhile I have 12 big Korean cucumbers from the garden taunting me. No time to deliver to the food bank, ugh.

Hope you get a restful sleep, see you in the morning.
