Happy Friday Eve Gang.
Can't wait for Friday afternoon to be here feeling defeated and like we just can't get ahead anymore. I'm frustrated with the Town of Putnam. Our property tax bill went up $1127 from last year because they did their 3-year property reevaluation and everyone's property jump up a crazy amount. In the past years it's gone up $100 or $200, but this amount is insane. So now our bill is over 4k a year. I'm not sure where the heck these people think the residents have all this extra money just lying around. Oh, and the town will not allow anyone to have their property reevaluated or fight what the town says the properties are worth.
I know some of you aren't going to like my opinion on this, but Democrats are just as greedy and crooked as Republicans neither party are any good and only look out for themselves, they don't give two monkey butts about the residents of towns or citizens of the US. We need a third party instead of the usual crooks. Yes, the Mayor of Putnam is a Democrat who when first elected was a Republican, but after 2 months in office switched parties.
Sorry for the rant guys, but when one person in the household is on a fixed income and the other busts their butt working only to have the hard-earned money taken to support stupid crap it gets frustrating. Now I see why people just walk into a store and steal stuff. Sometimes I think it's not worth working or owning anything.
QOTD: If you were to move out of the US and relinquish your citizenship, what country would you move to? At this point I'm so frustrated with everything in the US that Russia looks good, OK not really. I think maybe Denmark or Sweden some Northern European country would be nice to move to.

Good mornin y?all.
we did a thing. My brother is going to take in one of the stray kittens. We caught him yesterday. He was timid and terrified for 2 hours then completely melted. He is such a sweet little guy! I wish to goodness we could keep him but we can?t. We also bought a live trap to help get the others fixed and we might?ve found a place for them to go after they get fixed.
As for politics. I could go deeper but it?s something I think we all have strong opinions on. Politicians, professional ones especially, have only their interests in mind. I live in a very very red state. Our property taxes go up like that too. If it were not for my mom being a senior citizen and having them frozen we wouldn?t be able to afford it. It seems to be a politician is to be corrupt. Maybe I?m jaded. I?m on a fixed income and on disability. They want to take my health coverage away. I have never been this terrified of this stuff.
QOTD: Canada, somewhere in Alberta west of Calgary. I loved it there and the people were extremely friendly and polite.

I feel you on the taxes, it's not just that but my homeowners insurance jumped $500 this year. I'm afraid when they do the escrow analysis in a couple of months my payments are going to go up again. At this point I don't think I can ever retire. My house payment eats almost all of my SS and pension. I would have $591 a month left for everything else. So until I can refinance my house to a lower rate I'm stuck. I've worked all of my adult life and picked berries when I was a kid. It is sad that I can't retire.
My state wants to increase taxes for roads, not sure I can pay anymore. I hardly drive, and yes we have a gas tax, and an income tax, we are one of the highest tax rate states. They want a sales tax too but we've voted it down 9 times so I doubt they can pu**** through. I have to live within a budget, why can't the states? Oh and they just took money from schools for the homeless. I have no solutions for this, but I believe the homeless problem exploded when they closed the state mental hospital and just shoved those people out on the streets.
QOTD- I don't know if I would move to another country. I moved to Maui and that was another country. I'm not going very far from here.
