Good Morning Gang. Yesterday was a pretty depressing day. Between hearing about the passing of White Dove, helping my co-worker with his FMLA, and then finding out one of Irvin's aunts passed on Sunday (she was 92) it was a crummy day.

Anyway the weekend was great we had a good time at the garlic festival and there was a vendor selling deep fried garlic. I bought 2 bags there were so good. Not much going on this week at work and I hope it stays that way.

QOTD: Do you have everything set-up for when you pass? I have a cemetery plot paid for and I know Irvin wants to be cremated, but we don't have anything set-up with a funeral home and that's something we've been talking about. You just never know when your clock runs out.

B: coffee and breakfast wrap

L: roast turkey sandwich

D: chicken marsala with spaghetti squash

We'll hit the Y tonight after football practice with the grandson.

Have a great day everyone!!!

Hi All -

I was with John and Julia last night (I'm in Boston) and they told me about White Dove. I found her obit - although I'm not sure how private she was about her surgery, so I didn't want to post it here (otherwise, if someone googled her name they might find this site - although I'm not sure on this). To be on the safe side, if you want to see it but don't know her real name, send me a message (on OH is fine) and I'll give it to you so you can google the obit.

Monday was my first day out of the house (except for the postop appt) because my bruises were lightened enough I could mostly cover them up with makeup. So I didn't make it over here to post a menu and was so sad to hear that White Dove passed away. And I'm sorry you had such a terrible Monday and that Irvin's aunt passed away too. Fingers crossed that the rest of your week is quiet.

QOTD: Yes, Hubby and I have already paid for our burial expenses and filled out the forms with our service wishes. It is a relief having that worry off our backs...we'd seen what my parents went through with no plans in place other than buying their plot. I think because of Dad's dementia, Mom was too overwhelmed to think of making all those plans by herself. Hubby and I will be buried at the Veteran's Cemetery in Medical Lake, Washington. It is fairly new but in a peaceful place and right across from one of Hubby's favorite fishing holes. I don't know if this is true for all Veteran's Cemeteries or just this one, but they have drive-through funerals arranged of course with military precision. It is a very clever layout and practical but you have to laugh at the concept.

I'm on another bit of a stall but it may be my own fault for not eating enough and not drinking enough water. Body prob. thinks it is starvation and my macros are way off. Can't smell much though I can breathe again it isn't normal. So stuffy and i just don't feel like eating. Probably when the swelling comes down that will all be normal again. I'm not allowed to blow my nose for 3 months. And this is prime cold and flu season with school back in session.

B: 2 cups coffee w/2 T half and half

L: A Pure Protein bar and some water spaced in between single bites. It lasted till 5 and I was never hungry.

C: Costco rotiss. chicken. I portioned out 6 oz and it will take all evening to eat.

LS: A Premiere Protein shake with Miralax added. ;)

More errands tomorrow but hopefully I can have enough time to get in some veggies if the garden is still producing zucchini.
