Happy Hump Day Gang!! We got boiler 1 back online and hopefully it stays that way until the November outage. We have an authentic Mexican food truck coming today for lunch. I have a bunch of month end stuff to get done. Hopefully the programs don't act up.

I have to call to schedule my yearly eye exam and possibly run to Home Depot unless Karen goes instead. Not much else to do today.

QOTD: Can you smell the changing of the Seasons in the air? The other night when I took Meisha out for her last potty before going to sleep. I could smell the change in the air that crisp Fall goodness.

B: coffee and protein shake

L: Mexican food

D: grilled pork chops

Hitting the Y for some weight training with an instructor.

Have a great day everyone!!

Good afternoon all.

its been a rather ****ty day tbh. My mom is in rare form, even for her. Yelled at me at the top of her lungs...including the f bomb. Real classy

my doctors office called and they are going to try and get me into a doctor in Lubbock for my shoulder. I also hope they'll see about my left hip too. It's really starting to bother me as well. Hopefully things will get rolling now.

i've made some things to give the animal rescue that took in Momma. A few pendants with chains and a few keychains. Will be taking photos today so I'll show y'all later this week.

QOTD: usually yes. We have a lot of "false falls" though so we get to go back and forth.

B: egg, cheese and coffee

L: Burrito and pork rinds

D: haven't decided on this one yet.

Melody, it is so hard to be around someone who has those days. My mom did it for several years and it took a toll on her. I imagine you don't have a lot of opportunity for respite care but hope you grab every opportunity for it that comes along.

Crossing fingers you'll get that appointment in good time and that they'll help both your shoulder and hip.

It was so kind of you to donate some of your jewelry pieces to the rescue. And gorgeous photo of your kitty.

Hi, sorry to be so late in the day AGAIN. Every evening I swear I'm going to get here earlier yet it doesn't happen.

Accomplished a task I've been avoiding...canning the yellow pole beans. The garden is at a point where the plants all know it is Autumn even though we haven't had a hard frost yet. Well, except the peppers who are going gangbusters still. Tomorrow I'll get a floating row cover on them for warmth. The beans are getting tough...I'm letting the Helda make seeds and podding them to freeze to add to soups. The yellow beans are an F4 I think so no sense trying to save seeds, just wanted to get the last used up. Not that I need more canned beans, I'm the only one who eats them and there are several year's worth in the pantry.

QOTD: Not quite yet but it feels so close. When we see big clouds of those annoying gray midges I'll really know it is Fall.

Still on my plateau, le sigh.

B: my usual protein/collagen shake

L: not hungry

D: Made myself eat 3 oz lean roast beef chopped in teensy tiny cubes into a soup consisting of roasted carrots, green beans, a little onion, and approx. 1 cup beef broth. For dessert one Chocxo 'Cookies and Cream' cup. Must hit up Amazon to order more.

Hope to see you earlier tomorrow.
