Good Friday-Eve Gang. Just like typical New England today we have a nice cool crisp Fall morning and then starting the weekend we go back into a heat wave. Gotta love it. LOL My plan for today is to finish working on the conference room chairs. I have everything set up and ready to go just waiting for the sun to come up a bit more so it's a little warmer out. I'll be happy if I can get them all done today.

The instructor had to cancel last night for the weight routine, so we ended up staying home and working on other stuff. We will go tonight as he rescheduled for then. I actually got several small things done last night and then relaxed for a half hour before going to bed and slept really well. I think it was the cool weather.

QOTD: Do you open your bedroom window a little when it's cool outside? We always have a fan on in the bedroom when we go to bed, but when the weather starts to turn cooler at night, we open one window about 4 inches and let the cool air in. I think it helps us sleep better.

B: coffee and protein shake

L: salad with grilled chicken

D: grilled steak tips with mushrooms

Going to the Y. Then watching football on Prime.

Have a great day everyone.

Good mornin Jennifer and all.

Not sure what is planned for the day. My mom is already acting paranoid this morning about the neighbors. It's never ever going to end.

If we're able to be home I'd like to work on chainmaille.

QOTD: I love to do it when I can!

B: deelights breakfast sandwich and coffee

the rest is terribly unplanned

I've kind of lost track of the days. I fell down the stairs again. This time it was a T5 & T6 compression fracture. The pain is unbelievable. For some reason it is in my chest and when I go to lay down it makes me scream. So I've been trying to take it easy. The only comfortable chair is my recliner. I don't tolerate any narcotic pain meds, they make me puke and before I do they make me feel like I want to die. So I avoid them, the only relief I have had is muscle relaxers that also make me sleepy, so it's been a real struggle. The ortho Dr couldn't tell me why the center of my chest hurts so much. Coughing and laughing hurt as well as taking a deep breath. There is also deep pain in my breasts, I'm assuming it is my pec muscles. I have a referral for an chest MRI with contrast dye, but I'm not going to do it. I hate the dye because I can taste it, and from what the ortho said there really isn't anything that they can do about this. There is no surgery or other intervention that they have. Basically he said as long as the pain is getting better not to do the MRI, it has improved so I'm not going to do it. Even if my thorax was fractured there is nothing they do about it.

The rains have arrived and the temps have gone down. Currently 51 degrees with a high of 66 today. I turned the heat on yesterday.

I've lost weight only because I'm not hungry. I eat breakfast and lunch and that is about it. Breakfast is Greek yogurt, raspberries and a fairlife mocha with unsweetened cocoa and truvia. Lunch is smoked salmon and triscuits and I don't usually have dinner add in a couple of peanut butter cookies. I know not healthy but they taste good.

I worked Mon & Tues but yesterday the pain was too much and I retired to my recliner. I really hate this. I need to find a one level house, but now is not the time to buy or sell.

My roommate is still looking for a job, but he finally got his unemployment sorted so he will have some income.

QOTD- I don't, I am too sensitive to noise. I use a air cleaner for white noise so I don't hear any other sounds.

Have a great day everyone!

Oh no Julia. How did you fall down the stairs? You didn't break or fracture a rib also right? That could cause your chest to hurt.

Irvin has two compression fractures in his lower back and unfortunately there is nothing you can do about them. He can't have narcotic pain meds either as they make him sick. That was in 2017 and he has good days and bad days, but he just keeps trucking along. I hope you find something that gives you some relief.

Oh I'm so sorry to hear about your fall and the painful injuries. Glad you have a recliner to get some rest in without as much pain as the bed causes. Have you tried Arnica products before? The surgeon who did my sinus gave me the pill form, which I'd never heard of...just the gel. Amazon has both forms. First time I used it was for bruising after breast reduction surgery...the lipo that Dr. did made it feel and look like a baseball bat beating. Arnica gel really healed the bruises faster than he'd ever seen. Sure hope that is a product you aren't allergic to as it is considered a natural homeopathic remedy.

Hope whatever methods you can find comfort from will help the healing time pass quickly.

Hi, Happy Thursday! Cool and overcast here. Forecast says we'll have a light frost by Sunday evening. That will bring on the rest of the Autumn colors. Yay! Hope your heatwave isn't too hot. I love pulling out all the cozy clothes for this time of year but now, they don't fit haha.

QOTD: I used to but now with losing weight again I'm cold almost all the time (except for hot flashes). Hubby's preference is to have the bedroom window open all year except snow season.

B: Splurge! 2 cups of coffee (1 was decaf) with 2 T half and half in each cup. It tasted so delicious!

L: FF, SF Greek Yogurt with 1 scoop of Syntrax 'Fuzzy Navel' protein mixed in. Also delicious!

D: I'll make myself eat a repeat of last night's dinner (the sorta-soup of roast beef bits w/veggies) and plan for the evening food noise which has come back.

Back to the sewing room to work at getting it all cleared to sew some new clothes.
