Happy Monday Gang!! The Jack-0-Lantern event we went to on Friday was pretty neat. The history of the place was really interesting. I'm glad we went. Here's some pictures. The picture with the wooden ladder in the background is where the inmates climbed in and out of the mine. They were locked down there at night and during the day they had shackles on to do work around the prison grounds.

QOTD: What century of history do you find interesting? That's kind of a tough one because all of history fascinates me. For history in the US the 1700 and 1800's had a ton of world changing events. Outside of the US I find the Roman era and Egyptian Pharoah era rather interesting.

B: coffee and protein shake

L: chicken sausage and chili

D: beef fajitas

Have a great day everyone!!!

Those pics are awesome!

not sure what's up for today. We might go out to the mall. We have a coupon for free stuff from bath and body works. I am wanting a perfume they have but not sure I can spend the money on it. We need to get some new faucet covers so Walmart or Lowe's might be visited today too.

i did manage to get a bracelet done this weekend. It's very pretty but I'm partial as it's my favorite weave, pic included at the bottom.

QOTD: whoa, don't get me started! I LOVE history. Pretty much any of it. I love pretty much any early American history to just about any American history. I love ancient Americas history too. Egyptian, any cultures of the Mediterranean, parts of Africa, medieval European history. Pacific island stuff. Japanese. I also like military history of the US. The slavery history here in the US. If we forget or ignore what happened it'll repeat again.

B: pita egg pocket, coffee

L: ???? Maybe a chimichanga

D: shrimp spring role

a squirrel in the food box(taken from my chair through a window and across the whole front yard), an ornament I made and the aforementioned bracelet.

Good morning all and happy Monday,

It's a beautiful day in Chicagoland - the sun is shining and we've got that classic blustery 45°, crisp and fresh. I've got to say, I'm really happy to see that the clock finally turned over to a new month after a rough October - we made it!

Over the weekend I treated myself to something special: I went to an art/animation presentation featuring the artist who drew the characters from Bob's Burgers. It was incredible - only seven people showed up, so it was super intimate and personal. Even better, I got a custom drawing of myself and my dog. That's going straight up on the wall and already making me smile.

For accountability, here's my food plan:
- Friend accountability: three magic dessert bars
- Breakfast: Dannon Light & Fit yogurt
- Lunch: Premier protein shake, maybe some hummus and carrots, and a few ounces of chicken
- Dinner: BBQ pork chop with G Hughes sugar-free BBQ sauce

Let's stay focused, check in with each other, and reach for those little victories today. What's something you're proud of from the weekend or a goal you're setting for yourself this week? Wishing you all a strong, positive start to November!

Thank you for the recommendation, I've already bookmarked his site. I know I can't afford the local surgeon who did my sinus surgery even though he was awesome. Thankfully it met the insurance criteria and they paid for it. This might be a great alternative to local prices.

Love the drawing.

I got all the garden stuff put away this weekend and cleaned out some draws to organize stuff. Something I've been having to do for a while, but kept putting it off.

What a great drawing, you should get a custom frame for it. Sorry October was rough for you, this month has to be better.

Proud of from the weekend...made good progress on healing my ulcer and tested my good old Click espresso protein and it didn't hurt!
