Hi my name is Sherrie I am a den leader of the wolves of pack 933. I am getting ready to start another year of scouting and just wanted to hear from other den leaders and such. Hope someone else checks in! -Sherrie 368/258/153?

Hey Sherrie... My name is Allee and I'm from northeastern Vermont. I've been through the cub scouts with my three boys and now have two eagle scouts with a third almost there. A good program can do wonderous things. Use the handbook faithfully and plan some special outings....Also, when possible, try to take your boys to open boyscout events so that they can see what the big boys do.....it really pumps them up knowing that some of those activities are in their future! Have a great scouting year!

Hi! Vickie here, and I'm an Assistant Scoutmaster in the Chief Seattle Council in Washington State. We just transfered to Troop 474. I don't know much yet from this troop, but the previous troop I was with didn't care much for women working the troop. My boys also were finding the troop wasn't much into doing much hiking and advancement activities, so we transfered as of two days ago. I had my GBP Distal 11/11/03, and have found my scouting experience to much more fun, and able to actually go on hiking outings when they did them. The newer troop we transfered to does alot more physical activities and am hoping to achieve my goal of attending WoodBadge in the Spring! Vickie

I am a Bear den leader for pack 1561. Our pack is dwindling to nothing. I have hardly any parent support. Im basically Cubmaster, committee chair, and all around den leader. UGH Im planning on having the surgery in the spring. How are you handling your recovery and scouts too? Carol 345

I have been lucky enough to have a good co-leader and a very active den with several supportive leaders and active parents so my recovery time was no problem. I love being able to be more active with the boys and play running games with them and things I couldnt even imagine doing before! -Sherrie

Currently ASM, but have done much from Cubs to Venturing to Council level and National. My true love is JLT for Troops. Training is something I love to do. I've held all Cub Leader positions, but in Boy Scouts I have been happy with Advancement and ASM. YIS, Cyndi
