An accident
Hi my friends, on Monday morning I went off the road to the other side and went airborne, I went down a hill landing on the drivers side front tire, before the other 3 tires decided to join the first tire. I cracked the fiberglass next to the turn light, the grey bumper is bent in, cracked, and a piece hanging down dragging against the left front tire. I have been checked out, I wear a sling on my right arm so that my right shoulder blade doesn't move around too much. When it moves, it's painful to breathe. Dr. Colquitt is having me have a ct scan tomorrow because I am swelling in the abdomine and sick to my stomach. My seat belt didn't tighten up, the steering wheel locked up on me going around the curve, and the air bags didn't pop out upon impact. I am now dealing with the Dodge/Chrysler Corp. to repair my front end. They are reviewing my case and will get back to me.
I've been in and out of bed for 2 days, because of the pain in my neck and spine, I was really jarred when the other 3 tires decided to join me and the van at one time. Had my seat belt tightened up I wouldn't be hurting so bad, nor sick to my stomach because of the pain. Had it tightened, I would have the marks of the seat belt but there is none. But my chest and abdomine hurt from the seat belt and steering column.
I need to get to bed, have to be at the Cancer Clinic tomorrow at 8am, I have no problem finding my way home where I am staying, but I always get lost leaving here to go to one of my appointments.
Off to
you all, Kathy

Hi Laura, it was a wet road from the rain prior and foggy. But God's thru with me yet, I'm still a work in progress. I'll be fine. I'm drinking a lot of 2% milk right now, seems to help with the burning from the lower breast plate down. That's where it is swelling, and burns when I eat. It makes me feel real queasy at times. I am more angry that my van got damaged. I can't afford the repairs, and I think Chrysler/Dodge should fix it because it was caused by their faulty Clockspring that affects the steering and the airbags.
Thank you, will contact you when I get in the area. Leaving here on Feb. 3 if nothing else happens to delay my move. Love ya, Kathy
Hi Little One, I'm fine, just really sore and stiff, except the burning in my stomach area from the breast plate down, where the seat belt was on me. I have my CT Scan on the abdominal area tomorrow afternoon. It's a good thing I checked, as I thought it was today.
You know me, girl, I'm too tough to get majorily hurt, God is still working on me, I call it I'm a work in progress. Thanks for the prayers.
Love Kathy
Hi Dennie, I have been driving since I was 17. I am now 53, never had an accident in my name, no tickets, never even pulled over for speeding, so this really shook me up.
I'll be ok, more angry with the damages then anything else. I can honestly say my life is never boring. I am a work in progress, so God's not thru with me yet. Thanks, love Kathy
H Beth, I am doing fine. I have to go in the morning at 7:30 for the ct scan instead of at 3:45. Hoping it's nothing serious. Today has been a peaceful day. I am hoping for another one tomorrow. But with 4 appointments, and temperatures in the single digit department, I seriously doubt it will be peaceful. But we can dream. Love Kathy
