Just when you think you are on the way.... someone kicks you in the teeth....
Tina, Tina, Tina, girl what am I to do with you? You know what all I went thru to get my surgery. I fought for 3 years, denied 11 times by surgeons, then being diagnosed with Leukemia, yes there were times I wanted to just give up, or thought I wasn't supposed to have the surgery. But this board kept supporting me, praying for me, and was there for me thru all the venting, crying, and terrified moments of my life. They didn't give up on me, why would we give up on you?
So you don't have it today or next month, even a year from now. That doesn't mean that you may never have the surgery, start working on it now. Starting working out, drink water a lot of it, and star****ching what you eat, weigh it, and keep track of what you consume or drink on a daily basis. You can do this, we all have faith in you. This board is here for several reasons, to celebrate, to support, to pray for someone, to be the ear to let them vent, cry, laugh, to share. We are your support group. But we can't be there or help you out unless you are willing to fight for your life. Now no more that you should have died 4 years ago hogwash. No more doubting, or wanting to give up. You don't have to wait for Medicare to have your surgery. You have TnCare, they will pay for the surgery.
On the back of your card is an 800# for customer service, call and ask that a case worker be assigned to you. This person will help you up to one year in what ever capacity you need in getting approved and having surgery.
I may not always be on the board, but I am still available to you and anyone else who needs to vent, or a shoulder. They may be skinny now, but strong. Love ya, Kathy
