It's Tuesday - Body Part Appreciation Day!
This past week I have really become infatuated with my legs. It's like, all of a sudden I have noticed how much slimmer they are. I can actually feel my knee joint!!
It's not just the feeling slimmer that I love either.
Before surgery, walking was a chore that I did as little as possible because it caused such discomfort. Now I look for excuses to walk during the day. Since I work for a university, I can send mail to others on campus through a "campus mail" system. Quite often though I choose to just walk to the other building and deliver it myself. *especially with these beautiful days we have had lately!*
So, today I celebrate my legs!
What have you found to love about yourself today?

Today is a hard day for me to love a body part, but I will try. Even tho I know my weight is not going up, I FEEL bloated. Sooo......
Hip Bones..I am focusing on them today. I can feel them, I can lean on them, I feel them when I push the door open. I have never felt them before now.
Hugz to you all!

Hi Susan. Congrats on the braces coming off tommorrow!! I have to say that I appreciate my feet this week. I am going to a formal wedding this saturday and I bought a dress (probably the first dress I have worn since I was 5 with the excpetion of my wedding). I am not a dress person! Soo, I went this past weekend with a freind to get my nails done. She talked me into a pedicure. I have really never had one. I am not a feet person and I always had wide dry and scaly feet. Since I have lost weight, they seem to become better looking. Don't ask me how. I guess since they are not having to carry all of that extra weight. So I had a pedicure (really weird). Plus I did not know I was getting one so I did not shave
Very embarrasing!
But after all of that, it was well worth it! I thought I would have to get closed shoes for my dress but I have been trying on sandals and I can actually pull them off now since my feet are soo pretty! I have never worn anything larger than a big block 1" or less heel and I am learning this week to try on and walk in a half block heels that are 2". Thats a big step for me! With that all being said - for the first time in my ENTIRE life I am appreciating my "normal/not wide" feet this week with painted toes! And I will be working them in some sandals with heels this Saturday!
Misty

my hands....
They're not puffy nor do they looked like stuffed sausages...my rings are twirling around my fingers (I've already sized them once from a 11 to a 9.. time to resize I guess) and my watch dangles on my forearm (all the extra links are out too!). I can see veins and bones in my hands... I actually have knuckles and not pads of fat!!
I saw my reflection in a window as I was sitting in traffic... I look sooo small in my car. At first, I didn't think it was me! I don't think I will ever get done with being amazed by this surgery!
It is not a specific body part, but I went to the gym today and today was my one month date with my trainer, therefore we did measurements and I have lost 8 1/2 inches in just one month all over. I am so happy with my progress and so was she!!!
Therefore, I guess I am just happy with my entire body, WOW I can not believe I just typed that!! Better submitt this before my fingers start to hit the delete button.
