Cigna has all my paperwork!

Hello everyone, All of my paperwork has been submitted to Cigna today from Baptist Hospital and I am so scared. I was told I could get an answer by friday and I need some encouragement here. What if I'm denied?

Don't expect it on Friday, also do be too afraid. If you are denied, you will face it then and do what it takes to get the approval. I was denied the first time by Cigna and then approved two months later. Good Luck!! Shelia

Hi Tywanna. Try to stay positive. The insurance waiting is the worst part! All you can do now is pray about it. Just now that what is meant to be, will be. If it is denied, do not give up. Keep trying and just do whatever the insurance company needs you to so that you can get approved. But- I am sure you will get approved so don't think about that right now! Make sure you call them to find out the answer. Don't wait for them to get back to you. Let us know what happens. Misty

These next few days will probably be what you think are the longest few days you will ever experience. I drove myself insane waiting... try to focus on something else for a few days. Hopefully you will get your answer by friday and won't have to wait until after the weekend. If you dotted all your i's and crossed all your t's in following the insurance company's reqs, then you shouldn't have a problem getting approved. I've heard insurance companies automatically all preauthorizations for WLS..but I don't know if that is true. But if you are denied, you can find out why and appeal and resubmitt your paperwork. Hope you get a speedy approval!!

I laughed when I read "by Friday" Which week? This one, or next? The doctor's offices tell you stuff, so does the insurance company but they do take their time... I had to fight my insurance. It took almost 2 months... and luckily I hear Cigna isn't as bad... good luck... we will be saying some prayers for you... we all remember how hard it is to wait.
