update on Shelia

I just got off the phone with Shelia. She has a 10 am appt with the specialist at Vanderbilt. They believe what she is experiencing is a rare vitamin deficiency that could be affecting her heart. They will most likely perform a cardiac ultrasound and may admit her for treatment of the thiamin and selenium deficiencies. She said the strangest thing is that she feels better than she has in years. I'm sure you can all understand how upset she is at the prospect of something being wrong with her heart. Please keep her in your prayers. If Shelia does wind up being admitted, I will keep you all updated. Susan

She has posted some in the last day or two. I did contact her though. She has been feeling under the weather and just hasn't felt much like posting.

Hi Lee Lee! I am here. I have just been fairly busy and have been a little sick this past week. I have been keeping up with how everyone is doing on the board. I just have not been posting much. I hope you have a good weekend! Thanks Susan for letting us know about Sheila. If you hear anything more, let us know. I have been worried about her. Vanderbilt is a great hospital - hse just needs to keep in contact with the WLS clinic and Dr's so someone who knows about the WLS surgery and its patients is staying involved in her care. I hope they get it resolved quickly. Misty
