Trampoline story
We had a cookout on Friday night at my mom's house. She had bought a trampoline when my sister & nephew moved in with her a while back. My nephew has cystic fibrosis and the jumping actually helps loosen the mucus in his lungs.
Wellllllll, Miss "I feel 22 again" decides to get on the trampoline. (I was pretty good on it back in high school) I was jumping, getting the feel of it and decided to try a sit bounce - okay... so now let's get some height going for a twisting, double sit bounce (that's where you land on your butt, bounce up and twist halfway around so you are facing the opposite side when you land on your butt again before you bounce back onto your feet) All went well until I landed on my feet again and felt my knee POP.
That was the end of the fun as my baby (19 years younger) brother helped me off the trampoline and over to a chair while he went to get some ice for my knee. His 2 little boys - age 3 & 4 - wanted me to do some more tricks.
I was really afraid I had torn something but it is feeling quite a bit better today. I can go up and down stairs today as long as I do it slowly and hold onto the handrail. If it's not feeling completely normal in a week, I will go have it checked.
BTW - my brother did get a picture of me before the fun ended. If I can get a copy of that picture I will post it.
And...my mother didn't recognize me until I was in the house when we first got up there. My siblings who had not seen me in some time were in total shock. I can't tell you how many of them commented on how "tiny" I am now. Even my little 20 year old, size 2 niece called me tiny. I used to be her "fluffy" Aunt Suz. She loved to sleep on me when she was a baby.

Hi Susan. Now aren't all FUN things in life a little dangerous. . LOL. At least you had fun and dared to try it. I am sure 2 years ago, you would not have even attempted it so I am so proud of you and happy for you. I just hope there is no real damage to your knee and you are back doing flips soon.

Two years ago I would have been worried about popping the springs on the trampoline as well as my knee! I probably wouldn't have even been able to stand up on the thing after I hauled my keester on to it. I don't think I'll be getting back on a trampoline any time soon. It was fun though!
