Newbie from Murfreesboro

Hello everyone! I am new to this site and I hoping to have RNY as soon as I get the insurance approval. Has anyone here had any experience with Dr. Westmoreland with MTMC in Murfreesboro Tn? He is my Surgeon.  Thanks

Hi Amberina. I wanted to welcome you to the TN board. You will find a lot of support here. I hope you are able to get a quick insurance approval. Has it already been submitted or are you still going though all of the tests and requirements? I am sorry, I do not know anything about that surgeon. Well, welcome and keep us updated on your progress and let us know if you need anything.

Well from what i got from Shanda (she is submitting  for ins approval) she told me she talked to my ins. co (united health care) and that she just needs to wait until i go for my pre-op consultation (july 9th). hopefully everything will go well.. Thank you for the warm welcome!

I know that he has less than 1 year experience with RNY and just over 1 year with Bariatric surgery as a whole.

Hi Amberina, I have never heard of him.  But I do want to welcome you to the TN Board. You will find support, friends, prayers, encouragement, and ears when you need to vent.  By the way, every second Saturday at 1pm those of us in the Nashville area get together at Cool Springs and have lunch.  You are most welcome to join us, there you will find valuable information, we exchange clothing, and you get to meet several of us that are on this board.  Oh and after surgery, protein ideas as well.  We always have our picture taken as a group and its posted, kind of like a before and after look.  So put it on your calendar.  Susan handles all the details.   May God travel with you on this new journey,
