Help With Eating Pleas?
I am pre-op so I don't have any meal ideas of my own to share with you but you might check out this thread that lists what everyone had to eat that day. You might also want to check out www.bariatriceating.com .
Congratulations on your weight loss.

Merry Christmas to all my OH friends!!
Hi Crystal. Congrats on your weight loss so far. I had surgery two months before you so i know you are probably getting to that stage where you are tired of the same ol thing. Been there and done that. I hope you find some things that work for you. I do not always eat that healthy so I am not sure if this helps but here is some of what I eat:
Breakfast: either a yogurt with a piece of fruit like an apple, scrambled eggs with cheese or oatmeal. I also sometimes eat kashi or fiber one cereal. On occasion I will eat a ckn breast or steak piece from a ckn or steak biscuit (minus the biscuit)
Lunch: Tukey slices with cheese and sometimes lettuce with mustart or ranch. Or a lean cuisine type of lunch if I can find ones with mostly ckn and veggies but a lot of those have pasta or other stuff like that so I stay away from those. You can also get those chucky soups now like Campbells chuncky chili (really good). Or I eat a burger no bread or a ckn sandwich no bread or something like that usually with some fruit or a cooked veggie (like broccoli) but I have a cafeteria at work so it is easier for me with variety.
Dinner: Just about anything. I stay away from pasta and breads but I will eat baked or grilled chicken with vegetables and even sometimes a bite of a starch like corn or potatoes. If I make my husband something i dont eat (like last night pasta) then i ate cereal for dinner. I know it isn't exactley the best thing but it is what I wanted at the time. But my favorite thing on occasion is to make my own low carb pizza. Ummmm. That is the best. And quick and not too bad for you. If you don't know about those, let me know and I am can tell you how to make them. It usually feels my cravings.
For snacks -especially between lunch and dinner: I eat a power cruch bar or pretzels or a yogurt.

I want you to know that I do low gyclemic...whoever's...the first I started before my surgery was Suzanne somer's...go to the library and read up on any low gylcemic based diet, quality low fat protein, veggie carbs...never eat grain or high sugar carbs with fat and protein....and while trying to lose weight avoid them all together....I can maintain and do a few high quality whole grains carbs a few times a month...but when I start feeling I'm entitled to do more...I start gaining almost immediately....I try to stay wihnin a 5 pound range...and with God's help I can do it...in his strength...cause I used to be a food addict and it is way easy to get back into old habits...eating out of boredom, eating emotionally....food is fuel not comfort...eat healthy, drink healthy, lots and lots of water not other stuff and don't let snacking back into your like, eat only with a purpose only at scheduled times works for me. Low fat high quality protein includes lean turkey, lean beef, lean chicken, tasty fish like tilapia or mahi mahi ligthly coated in say falx seed with a little old bay blackened seasoning baked in the oven is my current fav......and plenty of low sugar high color veggies, green beans, broccoli, squaah. Just measure the good stuff and eat. Plan ahead.
Hope this helps
