Congratulations. I'm normally a lurker, but i had to say congratulations. I go for my last weigh-in for insurance approval in a couple of weeks and i'm terrified of being denied by Cigna. Hearing that you were approved has given me hope. Good luck with everything.

Hi Will! It was 2 weeks and 3 days--11 business days (thanks to the July 4th holiday). I go for my consult with Dr. Spaw on the 18th and then I'm hoping to be scheduled for surgery about 2 weeks later, so....yes...that should be about the 1st week of August. I will be sure to let you know about everything so you will be ready! I began this week--before I knew about the approval--with my mind set on giving up sodas. So far so good! I have given up the carbonation and the caffeine by cutting myself down from about 10/day to 1/day. By the end of the week, I plan to be drinking water/flavored water only! I've also been practicing NOT drinking with meals and chewing my food more. Thank you so much for keeping me in your prayers--I'll do the same for you...praying you get a speedy approval so they can be saving us both a seat on that loser's bench! Talk to you soon, Rhonda

Thank you, Susan! I know...the summer has flown by! Are you going to the support group meeting tomorrow night? I'm planning on it. Did you get your approval? I know you wanted the DS, did they tell you what you needed to do to be approved?? I hope you can have surgery soon! Rhonda
