6 Month Pre-Op Diet Update
I am so outdone with myself that it isn't funny but it sure is fun to see how things are changing.
Well, I have been having some hematological issues. Yesterday was my yearly appointment to see my hematologist and he really, really surprised me with the awesome news he gave me. I was also weighed and found that I had lost another 3 pounds in less than a month. I have officially lost 31.6 pounds. Not my goal with only 27 days left of this diet but I will continue to lose weight on my own until the day of surgery. If you'll notice I am keeping a very positive attitude. The doctor told me that my numbers looked very good. My iron and vitamin B are all in tact and all of the numbers have improved. So, I don't have to see him anymore until a year. My arthritis is doing better but the sciatica still hurts so very bad at times when I over exercise. If there's anything that I've learned on this journey it's got to be that if you actually take account for what you eat and do you can always back track and find your mistake(s). It is also time for my 2nd labs of the year as well with my PCP. I can't wait to see what those numbers look like, since losing some weight. I also remember that before I had elevated liver enzymes and we all know that those will only decrease with weight loss. So, right now I'm a bit excited and inquisitive as well. Continue to keep me in your prayers as well.
P.S. I saw a distant friend that had GB last year and in spite of her telling me that she has been cheating with the things she eats, I still complimented her and told her how good she looks, she's lost 220 pounds so far.

That is great news. Your health is already getting better by just losing those 30 pounds and you have not even had surgery yet. I can only imagine how well you are going to feel after losing the weight with the surgery. It is a great beginning on your journey and I am really happy for you. WOW - your freind has done great. Losing 220 pounds in a year. I saw someone on the board the other day who had lapband and lost 94 pounds in like 5 weeks. This is just an amazing tool and so many people are improved with their health because of it.
Less than a month and you will beo n your way. Keep me updated. Talk to you soon.

Misty, you know I will keep you updated on my journey and I do feel much better. I am so thrilled with the tool we have had the opportunity to be able to experience that I just don't know what to do or say. I just wonder how much more my health will improve after surgery. It's a real journey so far. It would really shock me if after the surgery I no longer needed blood pressure meds. I will chat with you soon!
