Requested: Thoughts and Prayers

Good Morning Ya'll. I have been a certified teacher for many years, Pre K -4 and 7-12 Biology, Chemistry and Physical Science.  I had quit teaching for many reasons, but mainly, no one would hire me.  I have the opportunity to interview for some positions in another county starting Thursday.  I need your positive thoughts and prayers as to whether I go back to teaching and help support my family or stay in a temp position making $10/hour.  I know the logical answer, but need the wisdom and strength to accept God's answer.  It may not be my time to go back yet or I may never go back.  Teaching has been my passion for more than 15 years.  And this time away has been good, relaxing even. But reality is, we need the dough.  So please send positive thoughts and prayers to me and Scott as we see what the future holds for me as far as a teaching career.  Oh, the positions are all for elementary.  I have given up on H.S. a l-o-n-g time ago! Beth, We haven't officially met yet.....(hopefully at a function in the future) but I know exactly what you are going through....but my decision to go back will be about this time next year......you see, because of my weight(and subsequent health problems) I can no longer work in my dream job (firefighter/paramedic) which I have done for 15 years but I will be able to go back once I have the WLS and get my med problems resolved.......same financial situation and fears as you............ALL MY PRAYERS ARE COMING TO YOU TO HELP WITH YOUR DECISION.....feel free to PM me anytime you need to talk............good luck on the interviews and just remember FOLLOW YOUR HEART AND PRAYERS AND IT'LL ALL BE ALRIGHT!!!!!! Beth, I can so relate to your situation. I was in banking for 31 years, first job I had and started right out of high school. Rarely got promoted, but trained several supervisor's for postions. I know it becasue of my weight, but of course I never was told that, it was always we've got someone else in mind. So you go for it and fight for what you want. You and God will make the right decision for your family. Good to hear that all positions are for elementary and that is what you want. Hope all goes the way you want it to. My prayers are with you. Hi Beth. I am saying a prayer for you. Just trust that everything happens for a reason and what is meant to be will happen. Just know that it all happens in due time. If for some reason, this particular position doesn't work out and wasn't meant for you for some reason, then there must be something better around the corner waiting. But I am hopeful that this is meant for you because of how much you are ready for it. Good luck!
