I'm back home!

I am back from my trip to Florida. Had a nice time and everyone was very accepting of Rick! Everyone was shocked to see me; several of my family memebers said if they had walked by me on the street they would not have even looked twice. Several did walk right by me when they came into my grandma's house!! lol Had a nice shower and got lots of baby clothes and gift cards! This child will be better outfitted than both Rick and I! One of my co-workers/friends is planning to throw me a shower in April. I would love for any and all of you to come. I will let you know when that will be when I know. I sure have missed everyone and I won't be able to make it to the dinner this weekend, as I'll be working. Anyway, hope everyone had a great weekend and will have a great weekend to come! lol

Welcome home! So glad you had a nice trip and that your family was accepting of Rick. That makes life so much easier when they like the guy you love! I won't be at the dinner Sat night either, but the lunch bunch is coming up February 9 in Ingelwood (East Nashville) hope you can make that. Hi Beth. Unfortunately, I think the 9th is my work weekend too. It seems that I have several months where the lunch falls on my off weekend and then it changes to my on weekend for a couple months. Hopefully with these odd numbered months coming up it will switch me back. I sure do miss seeing everyone and hope to get to a lunch or dinner soon!

Hey Misty, Thanks for the WB. It was a nice trip and actually I'm glad to be back. As I said to April, my home is wherever Rick is. We've discussed moving to Florida, but neither one of us is ready to do that just yet. How are you feeling? Won't be long before you start feeling some movement and I tell you what, it's the most amazing and freaky feeling I've ever experienced! lol My little guy has been a regular gymnast in there and at times it's quite uncomfortable (and I know it's just going to get more uncomfortable). Hope all is going well and I get to see you soon! Take care.

Hi Barb, Thanks for the wow. Although I'm thrilled to be having a baby, it's been slightly depressing thinking about just how much weight I would have lost by now. But I've been doing really well, have not gained any weight yet (well, maybe I've managed 1-2 pounds, but it keeps fluctuating) and my doc is ok with that. The little guy is growing just fine and doesn't seem to be any worse for it (probably much healthier than if I got pregnant before wls). Hope you have a great time at the dinner and that I get to see everyone soon! Take care

Glad to hear you are back home safely. I'm sure your family was able to see just how wonderful Rick is and why you love him. I'm glad they were accepting and as they get to know him better they will come to love him too. Do keep us informed of the shower date and location.

Hey Susan, I was really thrilled with my family's acceptance. They were really great. I think they see that I am happy and finally have what I've wanted for so long, they can't help but be happy for me. Even my dad was good with Rick. They went off with Rick's son and my nephew during the shower and Rick said they had a nice conversation. It was .....GREAT!
