Wow, you look fantastic. My goodness what a difference. Way to go....
Please forgive me if I seem too forward but it does upset me to hear that your husband (I assume that is who the "Old Man" is, not sure though) is so insensitive with his words. The world is tough enough without the one person in the whole universe that should be the most loving and supportive to you is so callous to you.
I know you didn't ask me but I thought I would throw it out there, don't make excuses for him by saying well he is anal or only sees things black and white.. There is no excuse for that. Your well being emotionally and physically are way more valuable and important. You need to be healthy in both areas.

Hi Julie yes he is my husband for 46 years and I'm not making excuses for him that is just the way he is. I feel sorry for him more than any thing. He is what he is and he is mine all mine and when it gets down to the bottom line he is here and all the sweet talkers aren't and thats what counts in my book. Birdy
Yep..I totally agree. Loyalty and being there is the bottom line.
But I think you may have misunderstood just a little bit about what I was saying. By saying I felt he was being insensitive with his words to you in no way implies that I think you would be better of with a sweet talker. Heck no. That would be going from one extreme to the other extreme. You guys have been married for 46 years. That is huge in my book. You each should have special awards and stuff... LOL... I have only been married 22 years. I got a long way to go and a lot to learn...
I am gonna stand by my original thinking behind my post, Everyone rather it be our spouse our child our parents our siblings our friends should be held accountable for the things they say to each other. I was always told if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all...
