Slowly but surely....

Well, I just want to tell you how awesome you have done....120 pounds since your June surgery date is something you should be very proud of.. I can tell you that because, I know how hard it is from personal Weight Loss Surgery experience. Sometimes I think that people from the outside looking in got the notion that once we had the magical surgery that somehow we wake up each morning with no effort of our own to find that 10 pounds melted off while we were sleeping....
I do worry about you... You do have an awesome family and friends that you have made along your journey.. You have worked hard to have an awesome family and great friends around you... Now creeps in a small problem that we all suffer from in one form or another... As hard as we try there appears to be someone else around us that appears to be doing better... Our close girlfriends seem to be at their goal, wear a size 4 or 6. Our significant other that we like to refer to as superman has lost weight in record time because for some reason that makes no sense to any female on the planet, the male species loses weight at a different pace than the ladies... I am gonna ask God about this one... I thought things should be more fair....
So where does that leave Beth? Why does she feel so bad about not measuring up to everyone else around her even though she has worked just as hard as everyone else, and has accomplished just as much if not more... My favorite cousin is very tall, she will not be a size 4/6 cause it is not mathematically correct. I am not sure her goal size but it may be a 14/16. Her size 14/16 looks like a 4/6 to me on her. She gets the special bonus of having long legs and a longer torso that only a short dumpy person like myself could only hope and wish for. At my height and body size the 14/16 sizes were still being purchased in the plus size for the average woman.... Why did they insist on calling me plus size and average????
