New mini-goal idea(s)
Hey, Gang!
Regarding our mini-goal challenges... I think someone suggested a July 4th challenge earlier - which is awesome... when we watch the fireworks show that night, we'll know ALL of Nashville is celebrating OUR SUCCESS! OUR FREEDOM from those things that once enslaved us! Nice of them to put on such a show just for us, isn't it?!
Firecracker, firecracker, BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Firecracker, firecracker, BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
(Scott, being the "cheerleader" that I am, I just couldn't resist!)
ANYWAY... I have found through this last (very long) mini-goal challenge, that I do better with baby-steps. (I only lost 4 pounds during this whole time
which has had me dealing me w/ a plethara of emotions!!)
That said, here is what I would like to propose... I would like to do a Mother's Day challenge, followed by a Father's Day challenge, ending with the BIG BANG of a July 4th challenge.
For me, I would like to try to lose 2 pounds between now and Mother's Day (May 11th - we have a week and a 1/2!), and I am committed to working extra hard - both in work-outs and even going back to basics (liquids if I have to to re-jump-start a losing pattern). Then, I would like to lose an additional 5 pounds by Father's Day (June 15th), followed by 3 pounds for July 4th. That would give me a total goal of 10 pounds by July 4th.
So, think about how you lose best --- what kind of goal setting works best for you --- then jump in on whatever level you'd like. This is what mine will look like --
Mother's Day = 2 pounds; Father's Day = 5 pounds; July 4th TOTAL = 10 pounds others might simply say they want to lose 10 pounds by July 4th (and not worry about breaking it down) Whatever works for YOU!!!
So, PM me or log it here --- I will keep track of it all and will initiate the check-ins.
Know that EACH ONE of you are a BLESSING! I know I haven't been posting much - have hardly had time to lurk, but I think of you all often and have a heart-felt desire to get back in here like I used to be. I have to wonder if (inadvertently) letting go of my support system has led to what I consider a lack of success the past month+. ??? Or is it that it's going to slow down from here cuz I don't have as much to lose??? I just wasn't ready for the "screeching brakes", but also know I may just have to "chill out" a bit...??? Anywho...
LOVE YOU ALL! HAVE A BLESSED DAY!! ~ Tara
I like your concept about a bunch of smaller time frame mini's. But I go back to see Dr. Morton next Wednesday-that is only four days prior to Mothers day.
My choose is to break this challenge in half and do a Father's Day Challenge ---lets say 5 pounds gone by then, and then another 5 pounds gone by July 4th.
That will be another 10 pounds gone forever!!! The actual goal is to be less than 220#s!! THAT WILL BE AWESOME!!
Thanks Tara,
