Answer to Acid Reflux
I e-mailed my Dr about the heart burn symtoms that I have been having. I asked him if I could really have acid reflux due to the way our pouches are made. He said that it is rare, but possible that I could have reflux, or it could be spasms of the stomach. I can continue to take pepcid complete. I guess that if it does not get worse, I can just live with it.
Hope everyone is having a great day. The weather is just beautiful here!!!!!

Hi,
I actually will not be having my surgery until next Tuesday but I have suffered with acid reflux for a LOOOOOOOOOng time. I know that each Dr is different but my doctor has given me a script for Prevecid Solutab which just melts on your tounge. I know that I am presently on 30mg of Prevacid daily so I will see how the solutabs work. I will keep you posted so that may be an optional pill for you.

Gosh, Kathy - I hope you don't "just have to live with it"!
My doc is putting me on 20mg of pepsid for at least 100 days after surgery to prevent ulcers and this kind of heartburn pain and reflux. Could it be that you have an ulcer rather than just reflux? I sure hope not, but you might want to get it checked out in case it continues. I've got my fingers crossed for you for that it's nothing serious!
Take Care,
Robin

My symptoms are not bad at all. a half of a pepcid complete gets the job done and I dont have it everyday. If it continues, or gets worse, I know that my butt will be back into the dr's office pronto! I have not had this problem long, and I wont let it go on.
I just did not know that we could even get heartburn after surgery...
Thanks.
Tootles..
Cathy
